Agreed. Awesome deadpooling, Spade. It may take a long time for the record of 15 to be broken.

Who Should Be On The Deathlist 2014
DevonDeathTrip replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList Forum
It is about time that Sister Wendy Beckett is considered for the DL. -
Rather like Daley Thompson training for the Olympics, they'll be checking leads twice on Christmas Day, whereas mere mortals will just do it the once... in 2014, I don't think there will be a repeat of 2013 in terms of the sheer number of teams with 10/11/12+ hits. I can only speak for myself, but that really isn't true! As I've said before, it is far too easy to overthink a DDP team and I was gulity of this myself in 2010 when I tried to be clever and finished way down in thirteenth. I currently have a shortlist of three (it was four until yesterday, when Paul Baumer died), but I am confident the rest will come to me in the visions I usually experience on Boxing Day evening.

How about Ronaldo's girlfriend's grandmother? -
Or could it be that Predictor, previously known as Swede Predictor, could in fact be, well, Swedish?

Hi NAP. As you're passing, could I trouble you for your opinion on the eligibility of the late Hakimullah Mehsud for a Crimes Against Humanity bonus? He was somewhat lacking in diplomatic tact, to put it mildly.
-
Not yet he doesn't. Perhaps someone else up there in the rankings has picked Price as well and has a youngish unique pick teetering on the brink... Also, I believe the man to decide this year's DDP may be none other than General Wojciech Jaruzelski. Hasn't it been a great competition this year? That's the defiance of a true winner... However you are running out of time. If this were Rugby, you'd need a try, conversion and possibly a drop goal to nick it, with less than five minutes left on the clock... It won't happen, but I still dream of a Rocky style comeback. I've managed to convince myself that Ray will go on the 13th and Jamie Daniel will die on Christmas Day. I still haven't found out what's actually wrong with Bairbre De Brun.

I think it will be this year.

Jean Kent, Jane Kean, and Jean King; how's that for a trifecta? -
A recent Tony Benn interview, which he ends by giving his thoughts on dying. He's still smoking a pipe and is very alert mentally, but he doesn't look or sound at all well. Sorry to say, but he could be a good DL 2014 pick.

His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Suvaddhana Mahathera, has finally expired at the age of 100, following his hospitalisation...in 2002. A unique pick for Master Mind on the DDP!

A "very poorly" Steve Prescott is in hospital, suffering with pneumonia for the second time in six weeks.

South African cricket legend Graeme Pollock has been diagnosed with colon cancer. News of his illness was brought by former South African captain Clive Rice, who recently underwent sugery to remove a tumour. -
Funny you should mention this. I was chatting to someone only last week about the upcoming 80th anniversary. Many years ago I asked about interviewing some survivors but was told they didn't like to talk about their time there. Not sure about the reluctance with regard to interview, 85 year old Mr Gillies was quoted in the Guardian piece and clearly had the journo round to his home. No mention name wise of the other survivor though. Norman Gillies has died. (I like this old photo of the St Kilda locals. Strange to think that only a little over 100 years ago, there were adults in the UK who didn't have shoes)

Drummer/precussionist (and actor) Joe Lala, is suffering from stage IV lung cancer.

BBC Radio Derby presenter Colin Bloomfield has been diagnosed with melanoma. Obituary assured when his BBC profile page is updated. The profile tells us that Bloomfield is the "fifth most famous person to come out of Shrewsbury".

I can't see any problem with that happening. Such an occurence would be entirely in the spirit of this forum. I like this thread and look forward to learning more about Christopher Sandringham.

The postings on Ray Price's Facebook page are starting to look a little ominous. It could be a real struggle for him to get to 2014.

This obituary has been removed from the Reno Gazette-Journal and republished by Gawker. Despite the late Ms Johnson-Reddick's alleged personal shortcomings, I can't help thinking that her children - if they are responsible for this submission - may have inherited some of her vindictive nature.
