    Milton Obote Dead

Uganda's national anthem is the shortest in the world. Should a Ugandan win a medal at this year's Olympics, he (or she) will be honoured with a tune lasting only sixteen seconds! (I know this as the subject was discussed on Radio 4's breakfast news the other day, the Ugandan anthem is at 1.14)

Said Al-Islam Gaffafi's lawyer has claimed that his client has been beaten by his jailers and is been held in isolation. It looks like he could be facing some interesting charges in court:

    Joseph Kony

The African Union is to send 5000 troops (sponsored by The Living End DDP Enterprises Ltd) to join the hunt for Joseph Kony. On the face of it, this would seem to vindicate the makers of Kony 2012, unless it's purely coincidence that this unprecedented action - from an organisation not exactly noted for their efforts in searching for Kony over the last decade - happened just a few weeks after the video went viral. It's a shame that the man who made the film lost his mind, but it's hard not to see his suffering as a sacrifice for the greater good if his efforts ultimately mean that Kony dies sooner than he otherwise might have.

Also slightly off topic, but " ", a jaunty tribute to Queen Salote by former DeathList favourite Edmundo Ros, always makes me smile.

    Hooroo, Mate.

AFL legend and DDP pick Jim Stynes, who was given 2 weeks to live in 2009, is gravely ill again. This time it really doesn't look good for him, but don't discount the possibility of another heroic comeback. I still wonder if he'll get that UK obit when he goes The DDP leaderboard will look a bit different he gets one.
