The African Union is to send 5000 troops (sponsored by The Living End DDP Enterprises Ltd) to join the hunt for Joseph Kony. On the face of it, this would seem to vindicate the makers of Kony 2012, unless it's purely coincidence that this unprecedented action - from an organisation not exactly noted for their efforts in searching for Kony over the last decade - happened just a few weeks after the video went viral. It's a shame that the man who made the film lost his mind, but it's hard not to see his suffering as a sacrifice for the greater good if his efforts ultimately mean that Kony dies sooner than he otherwise might have.
