Not a chance. I struggled a bit for ideas this year, so I doubt 2012 will be a vintage preformance. I'm a bit like the Ronnie O'Sullivan of deadpooling - unstoppable when it's going right, pretty average when it's going wrong . Anyway, here's my list. I'm hoping my joker will be a unique pick (probably no chance), is as ill as he says he is (possibly half a chance) and that he gets a UK obit (a pretty good chance). I'd also be very pleased if Joseph Kony gets shot to pieces. 1) Xolile Mngeni (Suspect in Anni Dewani murder case) JOKER 2) Jock Hobbs 3) Dame Lesley Strathie 4) Jon Lord 5) Sir Tom Finney 6) Joseph Kony 7) Bert Sugar (boxing journalist) 8) Etta James 9) Jim Stynes 10) Abdelbaset al-Mehrahi 11) Winnie Johnson 12) Masao Yoshida 13) Robin Gibb 14) Penny Marshall 15) Andrew Smith (Partner of Russell T Davies) 16) Rochus Misch 17) Miguel de la Madrid 18) Malam Bacai Sanha 19) Dr Anthonia Onuoha 20) Nelson Mandela

You'll never forget her face, as you'll see it every morning when pouring out your sugar puffs.

That's what I was thinking too - I'd never heard of Anderson before today, and it seems like Prowse was like one of those poor mugs who has to wear a giant costume to entertain the kiddies, and that was about it. No speaking, no lightsaber action.. just a bit of walking and pointing. Still, it's paid out well for him. Awful font choice, OoO! *Must dig out glasses from wherever I left them 16 years ago, after I passed my driving test*.

Olivia De Havilland. She'll be six feet under within the fortnight.

Ideas And Possibilities For 2012

American actor Peter Breck is suffering from dementia and "leaving slowly", according to his wife. -
I'm on to it... The recent death of Patricia Dunn means that every pick from my 2009 team is now dead (even if one of them did die in 2008!). I'd love to know if there are any deadpools out there which run for longer than a year? Perhaps I'll invent one to co-incide with the Olympics.

Irate Visitors Rage Here, If You Must.
DevonDeathTrip replied to The Yeti's topic in DeathList Forum
Sigh. Well, I took it upon myself to delete two most unpleasant posts made here in the last couple of days. Guests and members are more than welcome to share their views about this site, however the deleted posts were just a guest's graphic evocation of sexual acts with deceased people. If it makes someone happy to anonymously post stuff like that on Christmas Day, that's great, but I'm sure there are more specialised sites on the internet to deposit their vaucous, rather disturbing, drivel than DeathList.net. Could we just give the necrophilia discussion a rest please? Go well. -
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from a surfeit of figs.

Australian murderess Tracey Wigginton, aka "The Lesbian Vampire Killer", is to be freed after serving 22 years of her life sentence. She is apparently suffering from hepatitis C and is in very poor health. Don't know about her UK obit chances, but the Daily Mail have done a story on her.

It's going to be a big struggle for Etta James.to get to 2012...

The folk singer Johnny Silvo has died of cancer. He wasn't that famous, but he once recorded an album with Sandy Denny, so I thought he deserved a mention. I did have him pencilled in for next year's DDP, so I'll be interested to see if he manages to get an obit.

Indeed. You don't seem to have contributed anything! My DDP list is complete, I'm hoping for 20 unique picks next year.... -
The Dark Side Of The Krankies. Ian and Janet Tough have spoken of of their wild days of swinging, heavy alcohol consumption and punching Paul Daniel's lights out.

There's a great article in today's Telegraph about the mortality rate in Ambridge...

I spent some time in Kiribati several years ago, where dogs were eaten not infrequently. Unlucky strays were generally bludgeoned to death with a rock, skinned, washed in seawater, gutted and roasted on a spit over an open fire. Nearly the whole animal was eaten and what remained was thrown away, usually to be picked on by...stray dogs. I'm not ashamed to admit that I partook in a dog and chilli sauce bap while I was there, which really wasn't too bad, although I'd add a bit less sauce next time.

Who Should Be on the 2012 DeathList?
DevonDeathTrip replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList Forum
I thought this deserved a thread of it's own. I'd like to suggest Sister Wendy Beckett, Gitta Sereny and Lord Howe. I don't think any of them are in imminent danger of popping off, but they're the sort of names I think would suit the DL. Also, I usually like my lists to have a religious leader, a folk musician, a criminal and an Irishman, so I'd also suggest Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Norma Waterson, Donald Neilson and Lord Molyneaux. -
I'm not sure if he would meet the fame criteria, but former Ghana captain Emmanuel Quashie is suffering from throat cancer. It's nice to see the press dealing with his predicament in such a sensitive manner:
