Has there been any controversy in Dunns life? Did he look for 'friendship' in toilets? Did his wife take in a 'lodger'? Pretty sure it's legally impossible to libel the dead, so they could go to town. Alternatively, maybe it could be the story of a man's quest to battle his own mortality despite the second Google result for him being a bunch of people talking about when he's gonna exeunt. If he'd taken off to Spain rather than Portugal then maybe there would be something suspect

    Hollywood Possibilities

Bit surprised no one appears to have mentioned Clifton James (b. 1921), best known for playing redneck sheriff J.W. Pepper in the 2 James Bond films Live & Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun, also appeared in films like Cool Hand Luke, Superman 2 and Silver Streak, as well as episodes of The A-Team and the Dukes Of Hazzard, playing pretty much the same character, more or less made a career out of playing redneck Southeners, even though he is actually from New York. Had serious roles too in the likes of The Untouchables, Eight Men Out and Lone Star, was a WW2 veteran too, quite likely to get a few press obits

Not bad, what about "Jobless!" Borrowing Spike Milligan's old gag - Kim Jong-Il - Told You He Was Il... Oscar Niemeyer - and the Oscar goes too... Should he make the list at some point in the future, here's one for Hugh Hefner - "You're Not Swinging Anymore!" Eli Wallach - The (Closed) Book of Eli a few for Michael Douglas - "Michael Deadlas" "Fatal Affliction" "Life is for wimps!" know he isn't on the list, but Paul Daniels could well be a viable future candidate - "Now That's Tragic!"

I think it's largely due to his ubiquity on here that people are aware that he is actually still alive!

    From Cleric To Relic

Staying with bigoted preachers, the loathsome Fred Phelps surely (hopefully?) can't be much longer for this world, 81 now. When he does croak, I hope a load of people turn up to picket his funeral, see how he and his fucking pathetic congregation like it. I found this in response to Phelps' plans to picket the funerals of the Arizona shooting victims. What a sorry bunch of losers he and his followers are

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2012

These two may have been mentioned in other threads, but notorious Ozzie ex-con Mark "Chopper" Read and kiddies favourite Sidney Cooke are ones to watch, Cooke is 83 now, Read has been battling Hepatitis C For almost 3 years now diagnosed as having between 2-5 years to live, needs a liver transplant but says he would refuse if offered, may well not even see out this year. Chopper Read would likely receive some media coverage in the UK as he is a best-selling author and artist, and was also the subject of an acclaimed biopic starring Eric Bana.

    The 2nd Death Of 2011

Why does a certain sketch by Monty Python spring to mind now... actually Reflects the entire Deathlist concept really Hi on this theme of the link above have a look at this, worrying it give a very sanitised and down played version of what has been happening, other reports put the number at 37 reports from within put it much higher, which include one senior manager who went out a window during a board meeting. Within the company problems continued with senior managers being posted to France Telecom companies over seas so as to hide them from the French media and their staff. Many thanks Admin Best regards Syd Yes read about this not too long ago - and people think call centres here are bad!

    Dead Pop Stars

If Morrissey should ever find his way on to the list, surely the only possible Deathlist pun would have to be "Heaven Knows He's Miserable Now!"

Yeah I've got a copy of The Wrestling, particularly liked the anecdote about how Kellett dealt with a rude fan who barged into the dressing room demanding an autograph. They couldn't get him to agree to an interview though

Seems there are 2 Skull Murphy's. This one and . Google is your friend. Ah yes, Sheffield's own Alan Kilby. Interviews weren't his strong point : ) I saw 'Fit' Finlay wrestle at Stockport Town Hall in about April 1991, I never dreamt that years later he'd end up in WCW and eventually WWE. Saw Skull Murphy in a 6-man tag dark match on a WWF card at the G-mex again in about April 91. It was him, Johnny South and Chic Cullen if I recall against Danny Boy Collins, Tony St. Clair and I honestly can't remember who the other one was. The heels won

Anyone know the whereabouts of Skull Murphy nowadays? I remember reading a letter in Power Slam years ago from someone who saw him at a show, said he and the others resembled the cast of Last of the Summer Wine.

Perhaps Mae Young's time will finally run out this year, just how will WWE cope without her ageless in-ring ability or side-splitting comedy segments? On a non-WWE note, noticed that Mick McManus turned 83 the other day, one to keep an eye on. Perhaps there should be a seperate thread for vintage British wrestlers from the World of Sport era. Though many are no longer with us (Big Daddy, Johnny Kwango, Giant Haystacks, Les Kellett and Jackie Pallo all having passed on) there must a few old-timers populating nursing homes throughout the land.
