Walter Mondale, Al Gore, John Kerry....

However even if one of the former presidents dies we may still end the year with the same number of former presidents.

Former RSC director John Barton is the first hit for my unusual suspects team. Wonder if he was unique.

These are the seventeen that I think would be best bets to equal the record. Picked 21 names on first run through so there is potential there. Kirk Douglas Leah Bracknell Herman Wouk Billy Graham John McCain Stirling Moss Tessa Jowell Bob Dole Leslie Phillips Jill Gascoigne Vera Lynn George H W Bush Pope Benedict XVI Neil Simon Denis Norden Jimmy Greaves Clive James

Someone played this on their phone at work this morning. Unbelievable.

My team name is Bye Bye Biblio.

Last Word may be last chance for David Fisher to get an obit Cyrill Regis is a shoe in, Probably Bella Emberg and Dan Gurney and probably someone who did something 'worthy' that we have never heard of.

Congrats msc but once again had no time to get into this competition this year. I liked the time it dragged on into summer. I managed to get some hits that year.

I listen to radio 4 more than I watch BBC news. Hewlett was a respected journalist and very good at his job. His cancer diaries were extremely moving. I agree he was not a household name but he was a significant figure in the UK media.

Baroness Olive Nicol dead at 94. She was a scavenger hunt pick.

Lord Brook discussing Brian Neil sounded frail

I have played him in some pools and he was on my Secret Army list. I once saw him forget his lines at the RSC.

Missed opportunity for the headline Massive Bella End

This site is very educational.

Someone has played a wildcard in my work poll of Roger Mugford who is an dog behaviour expert who regularly appears on Good Morning Britain. I am fairly certain he would obit but he does not have a wiki page and I cannot find a date of birth for him. I have checked his publisher website but their copy is almost identical to his website. Any advice?

I think Guardian or Independent most likely sources of an obit for David Fisher. The BBC might come up with one on a slow news day. Jane Baker!

That would be David Haig

Might be tough. Jane Baker never got one.

His adaptations of his own scripts were a joy. In Creature From The Pit he manages a joyous romp not constrained by the budget of Seventies TV. My theme team off the mark.
