Well considering my pick I sincerely hope it is going to be a woman. Man = Representative of mankind. As we all have one pick a sudden death will be sudden death

I like the idea of the last man standing game.

    General Election Game

The Lib Dems have local pockets of resistance so the national figures probably do them a disservice.

She has let me down in my Shadowlist so I am betting the other way. Still out and about and looking better than Raymond Briggs - I give you Shirley Hughes.

I think this election is too complicated to call. So many push and pull factors.

I keep hoping that Derby County or Nottingham Forest could get their act together so there could be a proper PL East Midlands derby. There was a point in the season Leicester were promoted that the three East Midlands team occupied the top three places in the league but the other two both fell away.

That bonus was included in the last game because of the small majority we don'the know what the majority will be but I will keep the bonus even if it is unlikely to come into play.

Jan and Feb were quite busy but March, April and May less so. I am expecting a flurry of deaths across June, July.

I am going to have to defend myself here. There is a narrative imperative in the use of this opening. I am establishing the contradiction between the supposed intent and the reality that I am presenting. The omission of the words would make sense but it would remove the sense of guilt over the said contradiction for the reader.

    By-Election Bingo 2017-22

In 2015 I did say that points would not be awarded for those who die before the start date but Kudos would be given. If you are talking Sinn Fein then they are elected MPs and will remain so for the duration of the parliament I will judge other circumstances on merit. Generally if there is a vacancy to be filled points are scored.

    By-Election Bingo

The Final scoreboard 70 Points RockHopperPenguin The Engineer Voice of Young Maryport Time 60 Points Bibliogryphon Shaun of the Dead Rotton Ali The Dead Cow 50 Points MPFC Deathray Rover and Out 40 Points Handrejka Msc Manuel 30 Points Young Willz Sir Creep Phantom Congrats to our four joint winners RockHopperPenguin, The Engineer, Voice of Young Maryport, & Time. With only six hits on the board the winners amassed their total with Meacher & Kaufman and one of either Goldmith or Khan none of the winners got Cameron or Hunt. However Theresa curtailing of the competition has robbed us of the joy when her majority finally diminishes. I suspect in the next parliament this will be more difficult as many elderly (or fat) MPs are quitting early (although not Skinner or Clarke) and there will probably not be the cliff edge approaching if there is a significant Tory majority. I will open a new thread for By-Election Bingo (2017-22) Thanks for playing everyone.

That is taking research for A-level politics a bit too far.

    Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

What this might do is give the voters a horrid vision of the next five years and the missing 30% might get up and vote for someone who isn't a Tory. However the Tory gains do seem to have been bought with UKIP votes.
