Did not make the connection between Sean Astin and John Astin. You learn something everyday.

I set this challenge at the beginning of the thread to INH but kept thinking about it and have done the deed myself. Listed below are twenty big pop stars who have NOT been picked in 2016 for DDP. I am not saying they are ill but any deaths from this list would be a shock Neil Diamond Phil Collins Kate Bush Noddy Holder Chrissie Hynde Debbie Harry Annie Lennox Roy Wood Jeff Lynne Donny Osmond Andy Bell Bob Geldof Suzi Quatro Brian Eno Barry Gibb Elton John Leo Sayer Cat Stevens Gladys Knight Julio Iglesias

Just saw this today but checked to see if anyone has posted anything.

How many of those complaints would be from parents who had no idea what their kids were watching until it had upset them? Surely if it was on Channel 5 no-one would have seen it anyway.

I was referring to the parliamentary maths for game purposes I am colour-blind

Be careful Aston Villa might poach your manager. -
Another by-election miss for the game. In 2020 you are getting 50 picks each and at least 5 of them must be newly elected MPs. These have all been red. The maths won't change until we get some blue ones.

Not sure whether to be upset or secretly pleased about this one....... -
Another pretty obscure one that I didn't include Steve Jones - The Pyramid Game now aged 72.

Yeah he needs to get demoted to Mayor.

Nooooooooooooo! Kate Jackson was my favourite Charlie's Angel. What is it? Recurrence of cancer? Drugs? Alcohol? Or something to do with this gossip-laden snippet? I only read the NE headline but I think you have answered your own question.

That was a bad call on my part and I am hit for 13 points. This year is going to be tough.

I cannot express how much I loathe Kes. We had to study it at school and we were shown the equally squalid Ken Loach film. It is a grotesque dysfunctional representation of northern British Life which almost verges on poverty porn. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. This is not just because I had to study it at school I also read The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Billy Liar which are good books. However Lark Rise is the dullest book ever. -
With the deaths of Terry Wogan and Paul Daniels I began to think that hosts of the classic British quiz shows are getting thin on the ground Here are the obvious ones: Nicholas Parsons - Sale of the Century Bruce Forsyth - Play Your Cards Right Roy Walker - Catchphrase Bamber Gasgoine - University Challenge Jim Bowen - Bullseye Tom O' Connor - Crosswits Lionel Blair - Name That Tune Michael Aspel - Give Us A Clue William G Stewart - 15 to 1 Michael Barrymore - Strike it Lucky

This week the Sad Last Days are for former Charlie's Angel Kate Jackson. However Kenny Rogers is bravely battling his illnesses.

He was penciled in as a theme team sub for next year. Damn another miss. -
Do not diss Enid Blyton. She may not be brilliant but she could tell a story. So many of my generation learned to love reading on Famous Five, Secret Seven. My own daughter loved The Tales of Binkle and Flip which is so anarchic, I liked The Naughtiest Girl in the School, which was basically The Worst Witch, without magic. When msc says he liked The Naughtiest Girl in the School please note this is a book title and not a confession.

Dors of course. who else could it be?

In order to stay ahead of 2008 we need a hit within the next 20 days.

Star Wars was when it was released original. No-one had seen anything like it before. The Empire Strikes Back is a superb film (note the script was not written by George Lucas) even though nothing happens. The rest of them are just disappointing and should be better.

I was shocked she wasn't even on my 1000 name list. Poor form
