This seems to be a man whose ill health has either been exaggerated or is of such a low grade and lingering nature he will be retired and ill for longer than he was famous.

    Sister Wendys' Odyssey

Ooh, I feel a debate coming on; is there any reputable way of identifying the world's most famous nuns? I mean, there might be one in India or somewhere who's a local hero to hundreds of millions and largely unknown outside of that land. Robbie Coltrane and Eric Idle?

Biggest 'miss(es)' by the DL Committee 2016

As the proprietor of the Literary theme team I doubly kicked myself. Just thought she wasn't ill enough.

    Curse Of The Eurovision

let's see how this will work......my country is back in the game but i don't have any hope in getting in the final..... More likely cries across Europe (and Australia) in various languages of "WE WUZ ROBBED!" when the televotes come through. UK get to pick their act on Friday on BBC4.

    Michael Moore

Aye, when you put it like that it's shocking they're all still drawing breath. Isn't there, like, something we could do - maybe a chubster series of The Jump on Channel 5, eh? The Roll or possibly Avalanche!

Now not going to the Berlin film festival. Those pictures do not look healthy.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

I realised the mistake I had made after I posted that. I did read Time's Signature which I got from the local library but very little of it stayed with me. I am not sure Doctor Who is suited to the short story format.

    2016 Irish General Election

Are you having an election then? Are you old enough to vote?
  12. I think that if Bernie gets the nomination he will be looking for someone who will run after him that might be in 2020 or he might still feel fit enough to go on to 2024. If Warren is reluctant to stand then she may not be the person he is looking for. Unless he is an avid reader of Douglas Adams and believes in The Man Who Rules The Universe scenario.

You will know the face the Commander from Police Academy or the awful soap actor in Tootsie. Having seen neither, I wouldn't. I would recommend Tootsie and I would recommend route canal surgery above watching any PA film > 2

    27 Club

Those three years can't come soon enough... Ed Sheeren turns 27 on 17 Feb 2018. Just thought I'd, like, share that with the group. Don't you need to have a certain amount of street cred to get in to that club? Just being that age shouldn't be enough. he could be, he fits in that image....has 2 albums, a hit and is relatively unknown by the older crowd, the only problem is i don't think he's and addict of any kind Except possibly pies...

    Bhumibol Adulyadej

I know it's like Zsa Zsa he is being kept alive when in reality both of there bodies are buggered and if nature was allowed to take it's course they would of both been dead years ago but because of who they are and the money they have available they are both being cruelly kept alive when in reality it would be kinder if they were both left to die with dignity an animal would be treated better, the only real question is who will finally snuff it first Zsa Zsa or Bhumibol Adulyadej. They probably have more justification in keeping him alive. I do not think there is going to be rioting in the streets if Zsa Zsa dies All though there maybe a lot of cross Deathlisters if she doesn't

The only Short Trips book I read was Wonders which I think I left (deliberately) in a holiday home we were renting in Wales.

    Next Music Shock Death!

Before the recent concerts I would have been concerned about her weight gain but by all accounts the concerts were amazing and she looked very well on them. She is a private person so I imagine she would do something like Bowie. Just tune in to the news one day and she is dead. I do not want to imagine that day.

    The dead of 2016

But as widows living in expensive properties are what the Tories need to get them over the electoral finish line it made sense. They just didn't expect everyone to twig that it was blatant gerrymandering.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Have you read any of the Dr Who stories by Alexander Leithes? I believe he's written 3 or 4 of them. Wasn't aware of these unless he wrote them under a pen name.

    Deathrace 2016

Congratulations DDT. My performance this year was a stinker so I will have to think long and hard about the 2017 list. Many thanks to MPFC for keeping score and watching out for all those names.
