When I first joined I niaively thought that Named threads were only for people who had actually made it on to the main list previously. That would be so much neater.

Europe could certainly cause an implosion in the Conservative party but remember Cameron is only 7 By-elections away from a minority government. -
Would you click it if it said 20 Celebrities that are going to die in 2016 in hope of getting a few uniques for the DDP?

I take it you are unfamiliar with the Not The Nine O' Clock News sketch - General Synod's Life of Python. "Bloody hell even the initials are the same" "When two or three are gathered together they will perform the Parrot sketch" Yes, thankfully you are correct. Some might say say Corbyn's parroting the dead (Michael Foot). I'm not necessarily buying all this "omg doomed Labour" BS. Unlike most of them I like to keep an open mind, you never know what is going to happen in the next two weeks these days. I do not think whoever wins will actually lead Labour into the next election. -
I am unaware of his comedy only really know him from voice work. He provided the voice for a two headed dragon (with Eric Idle) in the film The Magic Sword which also featured Gary Oldman, Cary Elwes, Pierce Brosnan & John Gielgud. Worth checking out the song "If I didn't have you" songs by Carole Bayer Sager. My daughter went through a phase of binge watching it.

As in John Cleese. -
I am glad that this was posted in this thread as the episode he appeared (TKO from series 1) was the first episode of the show to win an award. The episode is fairly mediocre about a martial arts tournament that a friend of Garibaldi wants to enter but alongisde that there is the aftermath of the death of Ivanova's father and a rabbi (Bikel) comes from Earth to visit her. The award came from a Jewish group and was for the positive portrayal of Judaism in television.

Corbyn would be an excellent Leader of the Opposition. -
I'm sure he had a thread of his own. We should start a thread for the main protaganists in Columbo because Theodor Bikel is the latest of many to die this year along with Leonard Nimoy and Louis Jourdan I looked for a thread for him but couldn't find any! I was surprised!!!! The articles say he was very healthy up to the end though, so maybe he slipped through the cracks! A few years ago I vaguely remember him having some health issues, and I had him in one of my deadpools for a couple of years, then dropped him because he seemed to be fine health after that. I was planning to drop him next year.

I knew it existed but I had to search for it using Janis Joplin because if you put Tom Jones in it doesn't come up.
-
I am convinced Tom Jones has his own thread.

At last a hit for my Unusual Suspects.

This is the sort of serious research we need on this site. However you would be over qualified for work on the National Enquirer

An urgently needed update on the health of Leslie Ash. Ten years people, ten years

Though now he is boasting of his assets and success with the ladies.

That is exactly the sort of gutter journalism we are looking for one photo can be extrapolated to a whole double page spread.

I think Timothy Dudley-Smith will obit. He wrote Tell Out My Soul and will certainly get a mention in the broadsheets and a slot on Last Word. Just don't expect it to feature on Richard Dawkins twitter account
-
Maybe you are getting him confused with Aubrey Woods who was the Controller in Day of the Daleks and appeared in the Blake's 7 episode Gambit. He died a while ago.

Aye, but only because those pussy tree-hugging folkies smoke fags and fuck their lungs. If only they had the bottle to off themselves like hard metal men, or off each other like rappers they'd snag us high DDP points for early deaths, or summat. Isn't cancer what you get when everything else has failed to kill you. Hence as we tackle heart-disease and infections cancer rates will rise. I heard on the radio yesterday that 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime.

I will post a comment on this when someone on my shadow list goes who was not on the main list. Terry Pratchett was a total shock. Yes he was ill but still seemed to be active. Goes to show.

I am contemplating starting a thread called Sad Last Days which would be for people who have had their Sad Last Days flagged up in National Enquirer. This would be interesting to see the length of time between calling SLD and them actually dying. The latest edition contained SLDs for Paul Hogan (fading fast) and Bob Barker (giving all him money to animals)
