Might need to look at the maths on this 1925 not 1915. He is on the bench for one of my DDP teams. -
I had to Google for Burns to get an idea what all that is abount. I vaguely remember the band had a bit of a hit in the 80s. Recent pictures of him are, ehrm, disturbing. The name of the band is a stroke of genius, we should consider hiring it for DL's 30 Year Jubilee Party. After we rob a bank, that is. regards, Hein To be honest I think Pete Burns would do it for free just to get the publicity. Maybe someone from The One Show could come along and do a feature.

New Here And Just Saying Hello

I see this as a sign that I should learn a new language. Already, I've learned that the Slovakian word for "copy" is "kopìrovat`. Or should I just be praguematic and stick to Swedish? Yes, I considered this option very closely and came to the conclusion that I did not want to ask my friends for help with a USB dick. I presume that is better than a 51/2" inch floppy. -
Indeed that was the origin of the SNP but there has been a lot of water under the (Forth) bridge since then.

very real potential that both leaders will be challenged directly after the election or even before. Green-Lab-SNP-Lib-UKIP coalitionis my bet on the government after the election. WTF? Cameron's not going anywhere sadly. Also who right now gives a flying fuck who the leaders are after the election? Anyway I'm loving seeing Ed Miliband in trouble. The Labour party are showing balls I never thought they had, talking about changing leaders this "close" to an election.... does anyone else think he's done now? A lot people on Thurs/Friday were essentially saying this phase will pass but the talk has got way more powerful over the weekend. Can't stand the sodding weirdo, surely they are going to get rid of him now, you can't have this much talk from party people about someone being useless without getting rid of them.......? Labour party rules do not allow the leader to be removed from within the party this close to an election so unless he falls on his own sword he will be leader in May 2015. I do get the impression with a lot of this talk is that it is designed to make Ed Milliband look weak rather than evidence that he is weak. What he could really do with is a couple of high profile celebrity deaths to keep the press occupied so they don't spend their time thinking up stupid Ed Milliband stories.

There was a piece in the i this morning about Macauley being upset about these hoaxes. I suppose that is the one thing we can agree with him on. Dunno though, would he be more upset if the world, like, simply forgot him? That is the beauty of things like this. He can claim the moral high ground of being upset and offended whilst reminding everyone of his existence and body of work. There is only one thing worse than being talked about......

Sorry, I honestly thought that PD James was a man. Well I presume that the reason she adopted that style as a pen name was to allow people to make that assumption. I will let you off on the triple grounds of 1) Non-Englishness, 2) Youth and 3) Me being a really nice guy.

The question is should we swap Brady for Sutcliffe or keep them both on?

Blake's 7 is an odd one if you want to you can laugh at the really bad special effects or you can take an opinion like the BFI that it portrays a gritty dystopian future away from the shining optimism of ST:TOS. The first series was entirely written by Terry Nation (or at least that is what it says on the credits) and is pretty basic SF. Highlights include the only episode Douglas Camfield directed - Duel and the last two episodes Deliverance and Orac. Series 2 becomes more quest type with the search for Star One but is let down by the swapping of Stephen Greif for Brian Croucher as Travis. Series 3 is probably the best with a superb sequence of episodes which allow the characters to come to the fore Rumours of Death and Sarcophogus are standouts. Series 4 has a more glossy feel and looks more like Star Wars including the design of Scorpio. It misses Jan Chappel and Glynis Barber's character is pointless but episodes like Orbit, Sand and Blake make you feel like you are watching high quality SF

Currently SNP are polling 50% north of the border which brings the possibility that the next Government may be a Labour/SNP coalition at Westminster. How will that go down with all the little Englanders?

So now that the mid terms are over do we skip straight to 2016 or shall we pause a while to watch the viscious scrap that is going to be the UK 2015 General Election?

Today is day 311. Interestingly we are only one death behind 2013 at the same time last year but on a pro-rate basis will struggle to get into double figures. Hopefully December Will Be Magic (tragic?), Again.

I have taken some of the suggestions on this forum, current picks and a host of other names to come up with 25 ladies who I think could grace the 2015 Deathlist but I do not think we should pick on gender alone we need the best picks regardless of gender. I was surprised at how easy this was and could have probably gone on to fill a full 50. Zsa Zsa Gabor Luise Rainer Olivia de Havilland Valerie Harper Vera Lynn P D James Doris Day Nancy Reagen Fay Weldon Liz Dawn Jean Alexander Mary Wilson Sheila Mercier Clarissa Eden Maureen O' Hara Liz Smith Betty White Mary Tyler Moore Aretha Franklin Marguritte Pattern June Spencer Pamela Cundell Elizabeth Kelly Sheila Sim Queen Elizabeth II Maybe we could sell "This is what a feminist's corpse looks like" t-shirts.
