I am reading this and feel really guilty. I am the wrong side of 40, don't exercise, have a desk job but so far don't seem to have any real health issues. I am a tea-total,non-smoking vegetarian though. My Dad is 84 next week but my Mum died of Breast Cancer in her mid forties. If I keel over next week, my last words will be for someone to put something on this thread so you can all feel better.

Have you submitted a DDP team? That is where you can display your uncanny prescience about this years deaths and those who write the list might take notice of your suggestions in future.

The first Dutch King since 1890. I think you're probably right: he will mess it up. For years there's been some support for the idea that we should actually call him Queen Willem-Alexander. A (rather nasty) republican website published this picture: regards, Hein I like that, he looks like Michael Heseltine.

Am I missing something? Who writes fan mail to Hitler's bodyguard? With the possible exemption of the membership of the BNP. -
Lucky he isn't in the UK. IDS would expect to see him back at work next week or he would have his benefits cut.

Dolours Price has been found dead at her home in Ireland. She was convicted of an IRA bombing in 1972 but after her release from prison married Stephen Rea.

He probably said "Lucky really, you wouldn't stand a chance against Bradford" -
Surely it could just reset and get a new set of lives.

Where Will The Next School Massacre Be?
Bibliogryphon replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
I loved that quote! The logistics of it make it an astounding claim. I do not know numbers but there must be in excess of 100000 primary and secondary schools in America and can you imagine trying to find at least one armed security guard for each establishment who then will have to be checked to ensure that they themselves would not pose a threat to the children (in any sense). It beggers belief. For those who are familiar with fire safety there is the fire triange - three elements all of which need to be present to start a fire, source of ignition, fuel and oxygen. To prevent fire you ensure that one of the elements is not present such as no smoking or preventing the storage of combustible materials close to a heat source. Surely it is best to remove the element that is need to a mass shooting i.e a gun capable of firing mass rounds. This is not an argument for getting rid of a hunting rifle or a single shot gun. -
That might confuse Saint Peter.

"Hans plays with Lotte, Lotte plays with Jane, Jane plays with Leo, Leo is happy again" I repeat this song is not about sexual assault.

Very worried that we are not going to get accurate information. He could be dead for weeks before we find out. Lucky it is early in the year.

Pops up today in the i paper saying how he is still working on new books at 98. I think my post in 2nd Death of 2013 will be a dud. The statistics in the article may grim reading for Deathlisters especially for those people who just pick the old.

Didn't Edward Kennedy collapse at the first term inauguration and didn't last much longer after that?

I found my notes sheet for compiling my 15 today and I had crossed out Michael Winner replaced him with Kirk Douglas crossed out Kirk Douglas and replaced with Abdullah al Said and then threw Kirk back in when Dina Manfredi died. Damn Damn Damn

Going for Chapman Pincher. No reason just the current project.

He is now long gone as he was featured on Last Word on Friday. and has already been reported as such (twice) in the Death by Jazz thread. I only look in the Death by Jazz thread in the vain hope that Cleo Laine has died.

Not all smokers die early either but for a site that deals with liklihoods and probabilities being fat does carry added risks.

I think Cliff would have been a better inclusion in the list than either Nicholas Parsons or Peter O' Toole.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

It does. The dye is cast. 2013 could already be shaping up to be a battle royale between the two best DDP teams... I think that should be die as in the singular of dice. As opposed to a colorant! I am sure this is another glasshouse comment as Time will often point out, sorry. -
No but even the suggestion managed to generate 4 (sorry 5) posts.

dead Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh
Bibliogryphon replied to BirdieNumNums's topic in DeathList Forum
Dear En Passant No need to duck, I respect your opinion but where is the main stream political thinking in the UK that is pushing for even including a republican debate in a manifesto. There is no appetite for it. I would also suggest that they are waiting till the Queen dies before having the debate out of respect. That is flawed thinking in my mind because that will be the worst time to have the debate. I think we should accept the monarchy, reform its worst excesses (reduce the civil list) and enjoy the status they bring us in the world. -
He could generate some by going into hospital or dying.
