    British Science Fiction Series

William Russell is still lending his talents to Doctor Who Audiobooks. On my original lists there were some notes but I struggled with the formatting and had to lose them. Thanks for the summary msc. Wendy Padbury was married to Melvyn Hayes from "It ain't half hot Mum"

    British Science Fiction Series

In response to Yongle Emperor's list of famous poker players I thought that I needed to add my own list of trivial information that no-one cares about. Doctor Who fans will know this stuff already but it has got me thinkning. So here is a list of all the Doctor Who companions Carole Ann Ford Susan Foreman 1940- William Russell Ian Chesterton 1924- Jacqueline Hill Barbara Wright 1929-1993 Maureen O’Brien Vicki 1943- Jean Marsh Sara Kingdom 1934- Peter Purves Stephen Taylor 1939- Adrienne Hill Katrina 1937-1997 Jackie Lane Dodo 1941- Anneke Wills Polly 1941- Michael Craze Ben 1942-1998 Frazer Hines Jamie McCrimmon 1944- Deborah Watling Victoria Waterfield 1948- Wendy Padbury Zoe Herriott 1947- Nicholas Courtney Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart 1929-2011 Caroline John Liz Shaw 1940- Katy Manning Jo Grant 1946- Elizabeth Sladen Sarah-Jane Smith 1946-2011 John Levene Sgt. I know this forum is awash with Doctor Who fans so please don't try and get into a canonical debate about who is and who isn't considered as a genuine companion and just see if there are any names here you might be thinking of for 2013. Anyone who says Bonnie Langford automatically - It's just wishful thinking. Enjoy

    A Night To Remember

Begn watching 'A Night to Remember' either side of the last episode of ITVs Titanic yesterday and the question I had was why did ITV even bother. Four episodes of pretentious, cliched, class angst twaddle even with what on the surface (whoops) looked like a good cast. Whereas ANTR oozed class and an understanding of story telling. I'm not even going to bother with the metaphors. It would just be too easy.

    Clive Dunn

I am a bit concerned that Clive Dunn and the DeathList are so intertwined that should he ever leave us the knock on effect would devastate the DeathList and it too would cease to be!!!

Irate Visitors Rage Here, If You Must.

Is this really in bad taste? My take on this is we are discussing the probability of death and survival based on available evidence. We are not actively willing individuals to die (with a few notable exceptions!) but taking a fair guess at those that will. My interest was initially sparked a few years ago when the were a number of deaths of people you would not expect; Jeremy Beadle, Heath Ledger and Mark Speight. So wildcards are good keep them coming! And whatever else surely all the famous icons on everbody's lists would at least want their passing to be marked!

    Robert Mugabe

I thought hospital was more traditional. Great advert for health care in Zimbabwe!

    Fidel Castro

If he dies this year i think it will be biggest death of 2012 not many can top him apart from obama or one of the beatles or beiber . I think Prince Philip would get more global coverage than Fidel. I left him out of the game I run because of verification issues - maybe that was a mistake.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2013

For which I am genuinely grateful Apparently he (Rodney Bewes) has been in dispute with George Harrison's widow about fences and boundaries - can take a toll that sort of thing!

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2013

I am going to suggest Rodney Bewes. A few weeks back there was an episode of Masterchef where the contestents made afternoon tea for some veterens of TV comedy. There were a number of people who had featured on this site such as Frank Thornton as well as Nicholas Smith (Mr Rumbold), Lynda Baron, Wendy Craig and Jeffrey Holland but it took me several minutes to recognise Rodney Bewes and even my wife commented that she expected to hear of his death shortly. Bearing in mind I think the series was filmed at the end of last year I am not even sure if he will make 2013. I tried to add a photo but I am having to post as a guest as my account has not yet been validated. I have already made this comment in the Basil Brush thread but thought it was a bit obscure!
