A few of these I know but did not recognise from the titles alone Dilemma and Ignition (now gone) are actually on a compilation album I have in my car but because the titles don't display I did not connect them. I have now listened to all that remain and I have a good idea where my downvotes are going

Pop Muzik, Rasputin and to some extent Cool for Cats all have cultural resonance beyond the music and the artist and the time and place If you ever say New York, London, Paris, Munich listed together then you know what has to come next Last year's Doctor Who special gave another dimension to Rasputin However, Hopelessly Devoted to You was not even meant to be on the Grease soundtrack but was written to give ONJ a solo song in the film - she has a lovely voice but the song drags and actually only works out of context

Bang Bang was the first single I ever bought and Initial Success was the first vinyl album I ever owned I am not advocating it being in the top five (I was 10) but nostalgia means I cannot downvote it

With all due respect to the enobled gentleman but he is talking utter cack I am normally resigned to one song per artist going through in each back but both of these are more than worthy. Each talking a different approach to the English urban poetry. Up The Junction is one of the finest narrative songs which is comparable to Ode to Billy Joe in its approach to the subject matter.

I am not an Atomic Kitten fan but I cannot downvote this one because around this time my wife went to the funeral of her colleagues daughter (who was only a couple of years older than our daughter) and this song was played.
