Peace Activists In Iraq - Brave Or Barmy?

Kember doesn't have to change the face of history to have acheived something. Who's to say his intention was to change the course of history? From what I understand, despite being a devout Christian the mission he was travelling had intended only to deliver humanitarian aid. Far from being naive I'm sure he got himself into this situation with a full appreciation of the risks involved. That you happen to disagree with him from the comfort of your chair doesn't necessarily make him misguided. Still, Did They Die will create a record for him immediately, and update it the second his bloody head hits the ground. Isn't life dandy and grandy?

    Most Hated...

No, sorry to continue your torment, but worse than Anne on Points of View was Anne on Watch-a-dog. She's right up there with Vorderman. Her only saving grace (other than the Welsh jibe) is that Nicky Campbell is even more of a c*** than she is! BITCH!! I hate her!! time for my tablet.

We're working on a switch for this, and will put it in as soon as we've dealt with all these bloody outraged (and "new-found") George Best "fans". You've gotta love 'em

    George Best

    Most Hated...

According to DidTheyDie.com it's Fred West, Idi Amin and Myra Hindley, in that order, though personally I'd go for a non-deceased: Nick Campbell

Apparently Lennie Bennett is fabulous company on the golf course and now scratches a living as an after dinner speaker for "international corporate clients". More interesting for you guys perhaps is this gem I found on the net which says that in 1994 Lennie Bennett suffered a massive heart attack - possibly a contender for the next few deathlists?

Every night, Which is why he 'aint on the TV any more I think this deserves a spot on our classic "Joke thread" We resurrected him: Lenny Bennett turns out he's not dead, just dossing in golf clubs. Thanks for the picture, thanks to you guys we're nearing 85% accuracy, and that's just swell. XT

Sorry, should have made it more clear: those comments I found so amusing were not bickers/gripes from you guys but were sent in by "readers"/"users" of DTD... a bit like the very funny Irate Visitors rant here if you must! forum.

Understand your point totally... still, didtheydie won't be making millions any time soon.... though visits are really picking up, and people are starting to leave more comments on the profiles ... usually slagging us off for "dissing" their favourite celeb I was extremely surprised to receive a comment calling us "dickheads" for Angela Rippon's profile Obviously we're approving all such posts so they get on the site... and advising these people to contact our helpline, where they can slag us off some more!!

Much as it's nearing perfection, we should always strive for improvements... I wonder if Mavis Beacon is dead..

I'm not sorry you think we're overdoing the gimmicks. I'm chuffed, and we've got a whole lot more of 'em lined up! I noticed some other guy also stating that we're "No competition" for Deathlist. Whilst I'd second this, I think it's pretty obvious that it's comparing chalk and cheese, an I hope that you don't think did they die is some sort of "pretender to your throne"!

Aye, that cheesy banner at the top looks like an ad. The silly bint sitting at the computer might look better with some blood or glowing eyes or something. There is also an ad at the top of the page, which is pretty contemptible really, given the low price of a pint of web hosting these days. I wonder if every time one of us visits your site, you and your drunk-in-the-pub mate get a couple of pee for the beer kitty? That would disqualify you both somewhat from the HLEGA*, wouldn't it? (*Honourable League of Enthusiastic Gentleman Amateurs) I quite like the manic look in her face - and the fact that she's happy because they're dead When you're kicking out a load of bandwidth, hosting isn't free. Advertising is a commercial reality. You'll find it on most internet sites. Most people who spend any amount of time on the net these days (which I reckon is most of you guys, given the amount of posts you make on here ;-) have some ad blocking add-in on Firefox, so why not use it? If advertising offends you to such an extent, you obviously have the choice not to go to the site, but we'd really rather you did because your feedback is most helpful to us. Best regards Did They Die ? XT

I'm hurt! No, I really am!! Did they die But for the most part I'd like to reiterate thanks for the help and more constructive critism we've received from you guys over the past couple of weeks, and I hope that you will enjoy the improvements we're making to Did they die.

    Jimmy Savile

Whilst I have no doubt he can afford private healthcare he leads a surprisingly modest lifestyle in West Yorkshire and frequently visits local hospitals, perhaps exposing him to more illnesses than would otherwise be the case. That said, he is a total nutcase and for that reason will probably die in 2007, through cycling in a guided buslane, falling into an open manhole or trying to ingest a circular saw, etc.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but it's sh*te. Saying it's sh*te isn't very nice, I read above that sensible comments were wanted but I see some people are puttin on "crap" etc etc,. Even if you do think it is sh*te you should say why not just that it is S**t. Personally I agree with the guy who wasd saying that there's too much scrolling. There is too much scrolling!! I thought the site was funny (I love the pictures!!) but the controls are all over the place and none of the pictures at the top really needed to be there. my favourites: Paris Hilton Napoleon Osama Bin Laden Thanks for your comments - I think! Not exactly sure what you're getting at regarding the sh*te thing, but I for one don't really care if people are dismissive of the site... "It's S**t", "it's crap" etc. What's far more useful to me are the suggestions for improvements, specific problems/gripes etc, and some of you have been good enough to provide these. --- One of the earlier posts mentioned that you guys were always looking for new tools to help you answer death queries.... We already have a "random stiff" webservice, and are making available a "stiff query" webservice which returns whether dead, alive, not known.. and if dead the cause and date of death. XT

Try it Josco, it's not as bad as post-twuntdom Seen it. Crap. Bad spelling on page one. Flash intro quite good. 70% correct? Is that supposed to be good? What do they do, guess? Use a pin? Read the Sun? It's advertised as more than 70% accurate. Clearly this allows for an actual accuracy of between 70% and 100% Some of the celebrity descriptions (and pictures) are, regretfully, amusingly inaccurate. The "proud to be more than 70% accurate" tagline kind of reflects this.

I think it's supposed to be Yule Brenner, but don't know this one. Will have to ask the responsible party, who, I have it on good authority, is probably blind drunk right at the moment. Best ask tomorrow, eh.
