Update: Some yanky bird (sounds like a South American, but I'm no expert) has left us a 4 minute long rant on our 'helpline' (0870 069 5851) after sitting though 45 mins of music to tell us off for slating.... Whoopi Goldberg! I ask you! We have .wav files of these bints, if we get enough we'll make a podcast!

    Near misses 2006

Shame Lynne Perrie didn't make it to the official list (i.e. the Deathlist) as you could have had plenty of fun slating that old bag of .... of course, it all becomes rather more tasteless now she's popped it! Well a picture says a thousand words, and since I couldn't find one on here, here she is in all her death's door glory. A face that, truly, would frighten children.

    The Death Penalty

It's high time we put more value on the freedoms of the majority to live honest lives. Instead, our attention and protections seem increasingly geared to those who step over the line. I liked the idealism earlier on in the thread in "let's educuate them to do things other people cannot do"... Maybe we could get a squadron of the meanest out in Iraq? Send some of our "boys" home in the process? Maybe one of the scumbags will use the prison library service and his ample free time to find something useful for the benefit of mankind? My point is that these people are not 'valuable resources' they are a drain on our resources. So a small percentage of miscarriages of justice occur... and the result is death. Statistically less likely to go wrong than a major operation in a UK hospital - more so if you're unfortunate enough to have your operations booked in "death week"!

    Joe Longthorne

What a voiciferous (if stupid) lot these Joe Longthorne fans are! I've never heard so many mutters since I pushed in the front of the queue at the Post Office last giro day! "Haven't you lot got anything better to do than talk about the death of...." blah blah blah. Right at the moment, "no".

    Ian Brady

It's not so much the safety of Brady himself as their own job security. No Home Secretary wants to give up the final say on whether Brady gets parole and it would take an extremely brave one to do so (Hindley was never released, despite years of campaigning from her "supporters" who variously campaigned on the basis that she was a mixed up girl from a broken home led astray by Brady. That said, in light of the kerfuffle surrounding the release of Ma><ine Carr it would be right to consider Brady's safety should he ever be released. That said I'd be extremely surprised if they ever release him: he'll only leave prison in a box and to my mind he should expire sooner rather than later to save us the trouble and expense.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

No, this pic was taken behind the hedge. It's down lane that can't be seen easily. He has a lot of cars. The pub is near to the former RAF/USAF Manston airfield, where the USA kept nuclear bombers during the 1950s. The owner used to buy cheap cars, flog them to the US officers, take them back when they went home and sell them to the next lot. Suffice to say, he has still got a load of 50 year old cars in the garden, the radiator grills are behind the bar. Apparently, so he says, he hasn't turned a profit since c1968 but he was a millionaire when he moved down from London to take the pub on. Sounds like said publican could be a contender for the deathlist, what with so many fine years under his belt... What's his name?

    DL in "The Sun"

What a ridiculous story, is the Current Bun short of real news of something? Just a blatent (and possibly press-release driven?) piece of junk fired out by an aging rocker that nobody is even remotely interested in. So much so that I thought I'd check how many times "Keith Richards" has been searched for on Did They Die, the answer to which is a round ZERO. Still, good on Deathlist from the positive publicity, even if the twats didn't include a link!

    Is Mr T Dead?

No way! In my view Hogan will definitely pop it before T, and if he doesn't well.... he should do! So there!!

    Princess Diana

Lady Diana. An oxymoron of the first order. Worth a ton of cash to the likes of the f**king Daily Mail though who ten years on this year are still bringing out story after bullsh1t story with exclusive Diana revelations from some jumped up little twat who claims to have met her once. Ten years on they are still running this tripe and they're pretty switched on to what sells more papers: thus there must be a genuine "demand" and "interest" in reading this kind of stuff. To my mind these people must be so stupid that sooner or later they will forget to breathe. You would be perfectly justified in finding your own Daily Mail reader and murdering them.

    Is Mr T Dead?

How sad. I'd expect something that low from Stallone (who's doing another Rambo movie at age 60 as well), but not Mr. T. What a downer. Agreed, it's a shame really and unneccessary as I'm sure Mr T will have made pots of cash from the sale of those "Mr T in your pocket" things.

    Jimmy Savile

Allegedly. He tried to sue Chris Morris (of Brasseye fame) for announcing his death on the radio. By far the most popular (non)stiff queried on Did They Die this week. How's about that then?

    Charles Kennedy

Does he really drink and smoke any more than the average bloke on the street though? His job is an extremely stressful one however, but I really don't think he will be a candidate in the near future. Off topic I know, but "Vinegar Tits" and that Vera Bennett avatar... absolutely inspired!

    Kennedy, Right Or Wrong?

Kennedy was forced to admit to his problem by ITN, they were going to run a story revealing his alcoholism. The man is a proven liar, he is finished in politics. The selfish way he's putting his own political future, before that of his party is indicative of his arrogance. Disagree: I think by being upfront (though his hand was clearly forced)Kennedy has done his party a favour. What his colleagues have done by disowning him so quickly is arrogant and selfish. Still, new Tory-boy Cameron will raise a glass to all this... whilst the Lib Dems are in a rut through the inevitable charade that will be their leadership contest, he'll no doubt be wooing the electorate to his newly unified party. And won't that be fun?
