No, not yet. I remember them saying that Milosevic could be the first, but that hope was dashed. Amazingly, considering some selections, no-one chose Harold Shipman.

dead Sheila Rossall (Infamous Sick Girl From The Seventies)
Octopus of Odstock replied to Vinegar Tits's topic in DeathList Forum
I echo HCW's greetings, as in a stroke you've answered the query and given hope to all those Jane Tomlinson conspiracy theorists like me that people can fake illnesses and then "recover." Just imagine how pissed off you'd be if you put Rossall on a DP in 1982. -
No, sorry, I still don't buy it. 1) If she is as ill as her husband says, she would give up, fly home & spend the last remaining days with her kids. 2) Look, after say, an hour on an exercise bike, I sometimes have, say a bit of stiffness, or feel a little worse for wear. Anybody who does all this cycling will have trouble walking. Anybody. 3) She had a choice between casualty & stopping. Yet she rode on another 75 miles......! She always seems to make miracle recoveries. Also, Mr.Tomlinson says:- "The publicity doesn’t enrich Jane’s life, add value to it or help in any way" No? She was a nobody before her "terminal" cancer. She sure as hell wouldn't have won the Helen Rollason award at the BBC Sports Personality Awards for starters,

It is interesting. However, the fact that its in the Miami Herald makes me think that credence might be stretched a little and/or Castro's condition exagarreted for all the cocks that make up the Miami Cubans. Apparently, that report was in the Folha paper in Brazil on 5th August 2006, and has since been "denied". The latest official (note pro-Cuban, of course) report is that he is very well, improving every day and walking. So, the question, and it's not an easy one, is who to believe? Cuba, who says, yes he's ill, yes he's frail, but dead or dying? No chance... America (or particulary Miami-Cubans), who say he's already dead or death is immiment. It's a bloody difficult one to call.

Mohamed Abdelwahab, Egyptian footballer, who won the recent African Cup of Nations has died, seemingly of a heart-attack, at just 23 years of age.
-
Dammit, me too. Ever since he didn't make his birthday celebrations he went from 27th on my list to 5th, where he remained - and I honestly thought that he'd make it - just - into 2007. Nonetheless, credit where it is due - well done CP! On a personal note, I'm sorry he's gone. I enjoyed a lot of his films.

Melvin Schwartz, as I posted on the Not Famous but.... thread.

Where Have All The Ranters Gone?
Octopus of Odstock replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
and another one on the I & P names thread. Good to see the ranters aren't all dead. -

Well he was, but he's dead now. -
Melvin Schwartz, who won a Nobel Prize in physics in 1988, has died, aged 73, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Obit

Just typical of imdb. So keen to kill off people before their time, they miss a death from about 4,000 years ago!

Says the person who posted a death about a disabled bowler from Aberdeen who didn't even get a local online obit & also all those who died in his local paper that week. * *Light-hearted jab young man, don't throw a hissy fit. I'm trying so hard not to post useless updates about ol'Tupou & just about succeding right now.*

Not my fault if VSBfromH doesn't use the search facility for Abel's death

Ideas & Possibilities - The Names

Cool. A ranter! It's a list. I would've thought that was perfectly clear. Maybe you need to go to the local adult mental health service if you don't know what a list is. -
Cain killed Abel before Adam snuffed it. There's a few links online to that death. Here is one of them: Abel DEAD!

Thanks FF. I was starting to wonder why Ford hadn't been released yet (an earlier story said last Friday). Let's see how he goes from here. Oh, and Iain? Sod off.

Don Chipp, Australian politician & (more importantly) DDP selection, has died. Link

It's been done already. And with the death of Don Chipp, "See I Told You I Was Sick" get their 2nd hit in a day, and I lose my top 10 place. Damn you Ross Davidson

Ideas and possibilities for 2007
Octopus of Odstock replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList Forum
Yes, I came to the same conclusion in my most recent post in the I & P names thread. -
Stuff the BBC, those teams get their points thanks to The Guardian & The Sun. Well done all!

Ideas and possibilities for 2007
Octopus of Odstock replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList Forum
Already suggested by Tempus Fugit back in January, MPFC. -
She was thought the oldest until Capovilla's claims were confirmed a year or so back. Hopes of DDP points are damaged if she is "only" the oldest in the US, not in the world.
-
I agree. Not only would that give FF a lead, but help my chances of securing a top 10 finish come year's end. I am also disgusted at Maurice Papon's continued existence.
