Either way, lucky beggar. Good for him after having all those years looking after Hannalore Kohl who couldn't even go out in public. Having said that, he does look Sharon-stroke-type fat. Although having said that, he survived the tsunami last year so he's a plucky ol' chap.

Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Anna Wing seems disgustly healthy. She has a toyboy boyfriend & last time I saw her (early last year) she had all the bon vivuer & bounce of a 60 year old. I can see her going on for ages yet - if Ethel got to 94, Lou can get to 100. You'll see, she'll drop tomorrow just to prove me wrong. -

I think Max Robertson, who is 91 later this year, is still alive? He was one of the most famous faces in the 1950's, being one of the early presenters on the BBC ie Panorama (when everyone watched it & also commentated on Wimbledon, Coronation etc. If he is still living, he's a reasonable suggestion but I'm not sure on his current status. A few old international footballers worthy of mention too (all of whom would get obits somewhere): Ron Suart, 85 Eddie Baily, 81 Ivor Broadis, 84 Lawrie Reilly, 78 Tommy Docherty, 78 -
I did... I think... Check the other thread um.. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?...ic=1710&hl=octo Yes, i did. I'm not going senile yet.

Someone has clearly made it their New Year's Resolution to kill, injure or give ill-health to as many politicans as possible - Arnold Schwarzenegger involved in a traffic accident I see today as well. If this person could aim towards Shamir, Foot, Pym, Ford & Haughey in the next few weeks, I will be most satisfied with my DDP total According to the latest, he should be discharged later today

Iain, please don't leave the forum! I wouldn't worry, Iain's goodbye seemed to last for 49 minutes.

He's (happily) on the mend: http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.ns...lly%20recovered

I saw the same programme & thought he looked okay, actually... I see Waterman dropping before Cole if that programme was anything to go by.

The following all died in 2005, according to Wikipedia: Al-Zaqwari, William Proxmire (back in June - was left uncorrected for some time), Clive Dunn, Maggie Roswell, Jean-Claude Usunier, Madeleine Albright, and there were at least three more a bit further back. Reliable yes - but only with a source with the article. Just plonking a name on recent deaths with nothing to back it up is far too easy to do.
-
I no longer live there actually But it was where I was born & like I said in the name thread... Odstock needs some publicity. You know what they say... bad publicity is better than no publicity. It's sir, by the way. With a capital S

Source? According to Nick Robinson, BBC's political correspondent, Banks isn't on a life support machine, so far from turning it off, it appears they haven't turned it on yet. Source - the BBC article. Besides all the dead Labour people of this week, how many of his cabinet (past & present) have died during his term in power. Unusually high....
-
Yep. Don't knock it!

Right, the Irish Examiner has it. That's what I mean - it's undisputable. Why the person who did the Wikipedia entry didn't put a link, I don't know. http://www.irishexaminer.com/breaking/stor...&n=207927534&x= AH, BB you beat me to it.

Still dont change the fact that they never mentined him on the news....... They did where I come from
-
I don't class Wikipedia as a reliable source. It's easy for me to just change an entry, post it on there & say he's dead. I'm not saying he isn't & if he is, I'm sorry to hear of it, but considering that both I & Canadian Paul were thinking of fake deaths to put on Wikipedia to prove it's unreliability & others have done it before (Ariel Sharon, let us recall), I would prefer A site SOMEWHERE on the web, to at least have something.
-
Hmmm. No sources anywhere on the web. (4.23pm) A fake, maybe?
-
*ahem* Bunker died last year, that's why the News didn't have much about him & also why he isn't in near misses. Look at the start date of the thread.
-
First of all, that's a direct hit, not a near miss. Second of all, is it really all that much trouble for you to unglue yourself from wikipedia's Recent Deaths and find an actual article? I'm going to start pasting fake deaths on there and watch you post them in this thread. Because I can. Ah, so I'm not the only one to consider that, with the hope of achieving the same result.

I'm getting a horrible sinking feeling that having missed Sharon & Rawls AND declining to pick Rees, that my 17th place last year might return to mid-table obscurity this year - we shall see. What a DDP day though - 5 in a day - that's a record, surely? (Squire, Skate, Rawls, Rees & Miura (to come))
-
Keizo Miura, 101, skiing pioneer is dead. http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/national/new...0na029000c.html It's also in the Times, then that's three early hits on the DDP

Bit annoying as he was high on my reserves list. Ah well...

In all the Ariel Sharon excitement, Sunny Rogers, Frankie Howerd's sidekick, has died, aged 92, according to the Times Obituary.
-
Is this year a leap year? No, 2008.
-
Jack Lemmon's another, like Keeshan, who has died but is still on there and Robert Carr is listed twice, Martin Landau spelt wrong. There's a bit of info I can help with, but I'm holding off to let things settle down first.

I was hoping Clarence Ray Allen would be a unique pick, but at least I put my joker on him, as opposed to the other two. Otherwise, I expected Rolt & Pym would be unique. Can't wait to see how this all develops!
