Very Peeky - he's dead - http://www.noise11.com/news/kevin-peek-of-sky-dies-at-age-66-20130218

Also in terms of former DDP picks now dead, I don't think Richard Artschwager was put in the List of the Missed. He was part of an art theme team when I ran it, so it would be c. 2009 I think.

Comedy & Death - Great Combination
Octopus of Odstock replied to comedychris's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Seems like the best thread to put this in.... John Ammonds, the legendary BBC producer behind a whole number of hits, but best known for producing 60 episodes of Morecambe & Wise, has died - http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2013/02/14/17195/morecambe_and_wises_producer_dies -
I can't remember his name but I think it'll be the Argentine Cardinal who used to be the Pope's spokesman. Either him, or the Austrian chap - Schoenborn is it?

New Chelsea manager you mark my words. Health reasons pfffff

John Kerr, 50's leading man, has died, aged 81 - http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118065769/

Don't be too quick to add him to List of the Missed, as there's no credible obit source just yet, if indeed, he's died.
-
Very sad news - we had "Love Is All Around" at our wedding, but DDP wise, that gives me a 12 point lead I think.

Are we sure this story is true? The article quotes a friend of Kyle. Surely this can't be possible, not without a lie detector test.

Sir Paul Holmes, New Zealand journalist and TV presenter has died, aged 62. http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/sir-paul-holmes-dies-hawke-s-bay-home-5330967 A very well known news and current affairs specialist in New Zealand, it was obvious he was going to die in 2013, but the obituary chances were, to me, so unlikely to transfer to a UK obit, I didn't even consider him on my shortlist and neither did many others it seems. But Wot The Deuce did go for him - and would take 11 points if the UK obit does come.

... or maybe not, looking at my last post and this article - its in-depth but to be honest, just looking at the photos, Kohl looks in a shocking condition- http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/friends-of-helmut-kohl-say-he-is-a-virtual-prisoner-in-his-own-home-a-857827.html

Not very informed when you consider Norden is actually 90.

Sally Starr, former US children's TV presenter, singer and actress - and a pick in the 2007 Derby Dead Pool, has died, aged 90- http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2013/01/27/longtime-local-media-personality-sally-starr-dies-at-90/

John Paculabo, who amongst other things co-wrote "Colours of Day" (Light up the Fire) (which also went into the mainstream charts) has died of cancer. http://www.inspirema...iew&storyid=281 He was also behind some of the newer hymns that are starting to seep through in church, replacing some of the old "Sankey" dirges. John was a truly top bloke and I speak from personal experience as he is a member of my Dad's family. RIP, John. Thoughts are with Julie, Lucy, Sam and Joe.

http://www.chiphawkes.org/news - cancer free. And, whilst researching some other candidates for updates also cancer free are Ben Richards, Ron Hynes and Scott Thompson. -

Never trust the Guardian for research. If you check the London Evening Post, for whom Astles wrote for, he died on the 29th Dec 2012. -
I must admit, I did wonder briefly if Windsor was right. No RIP messages on her Twitter page, no update on her Blog or website by the family/charity, and not even a local press obit. But the Huffington Post wouldn't have kept the story online if it was in error. And then, eventually, I found this.... http://www.hockeycentre.com/Catalogue/Team-Bryant An immediate obit is unlikely as no other media, once again, has picked up the story of the death, rather than the fight, but there's a whole 11 months left of potential fundraising activities in her name that may just get a mention somewhere down the line.

As I said on Facebook... Robert Dyas will probably be next

I'm doing this from my phone, not my PC, so I can't link to it but The Huffington Post has reported that Jo Bryant died last weekend. -
UK obit for Okubo from somewhere that doesn't normally get the obit first - The Daily Express - http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/370502/World-s-oldest-woman-115-dies Points for 11 teams including, from a historical viewpoint, DDP veterans, The Vrydolak and Joe Ram

Right, more awake now. Mary Bird.. I am positive when I sent you a photo for her a few years back, that I discovered she had died and I thought I'd sent an email. But after Googling, and checking my emails, I can't find it. I think it's like Trudy Endersby, probably dead but without the proof, keep them on. I'll email you in a minute but the one thing I had noticed - not major (or actually it is a Major)- is that the picture of Bill Guarnere is that of the late, great, Major Richard Winters.

Superb. TMIB, Ill be in touch but Judy Agnew and Mary Bird are both dead. Agnew died last year and Bird in 2011 but Illl check when. Shocked to check the history and find that Im second only to DDT in the all-time rankings. Didnt think I was that high
