Ah, I fell for that last year. I wonder am sure if some suggestions already here are following that.line. Either that, or they know things no-one else does... -
Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

Trying to make it DL-esque Clive James Michael Winner Derek Thompson (Channel 4 horse racing presenter) Pete Doherty Bernie Nolan Van Cliburn Dora Bryan Sir Henry Cecil Ryan O'Neal Vo Nguyen Giap -
Sad news, although you forgot his most important claim to fame, playing once for Reading in 1942. Discovered Nicky Butt and Andy Ritchie and was one of those inspirational and important people in football that never got the full credit they deserved.

Kapow to Kapaun, Betty Kapaun, the original number 14, current number 11, has died, http://www.kdlt.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21762&Itemid=57 By the way, of that original list, Ishida, Nakamura, Takamiyagi have all died - http://www.grg.org/Adams/E.HTM - and a few more besides, so Gracie moves up into the top 20. I've amended the original table in TAFKAG to update it accordingly.

Stephen Lewis has been in poor health for some years - he retired from LOTSW due to his health and then around the same time, suffered a seizure and crashed his car about 4 years ago. That was pretty much his last public appearance, so I wouldn't bank on him living for years and years...

I agree, this is the only sensible approach. I don't think you can have a "new" Dunny, forcing the mantle on O'Sullivan or Biggs doesn't seem right somehow. Or even David Jason, who like Dunny, played old men long before he became one. You could also make a case for Ian Lavender, or if you want to keep someone on for years from the first deathlist, why not Andrea De Cesaris? But you're either best off picking 50 names for the right reasons, or permanently having 49.

I thought the end of the World was in December, not today?? I go for the 49 option, and retire Dunnie's jersey. After all, it's not as if the DL has had 50 all the way through... and to be honest, is never going to get 50 out of 50. RIP, a remarkable man, who, when I think of his work, only makes me smile. That I feel is a decent legacy.

I'd hang on a few days as they may do a Religion Special with Maxim, Munoz and Mesrob II Mutafayan (hopefully.....)

Ah drat. She was on my shortlist (35 names) that I was whittle down to 20, going to pick in 2013 for the DDP. Although, to be honest, I was surprised she lasted as long as 2012. -
My local team, Hemel, are top of the Southern Premier (one step below Chester's level), and I'm very proud of them. Certainly a lot prouder of a team that can lead 4-0 and STILL lose! Terrific game though, great fun. Sunday's the big game for us, though QPR away.

The remarkable John Fitch, mentioned here many times before has died, of skin cancer, aged 95, this morning. http://www.oldracingcars.com/driver/John_Fitch http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/31/racing-legend-safety-pioneer-john-fitch-dies-at-95/ RIP to a true legend. Fitch's death completes a bad fortnight or so for US motorsport - Tim Wardrop, British born, Indianapolis based engineer with Indy 500 race wins to his credit as designer and engineer, died aged 62 over the weekend, whilst 2nd oldest living Indy 500 driver, Eddie Russo, lost that particular claim after his death at 86 on the 14th October.

Warts and all video documentaries on Annette Funicello as she is now.. which is not in a good way. The article mentions new drugs somewhat slowing down the rate of her disease, so maybe she's not a shoo-in for 2013 as she looks. http://www.ctvnews.ca/w5/annette-funicello-her-life-with-multiple-sclerosis-1.984202 At least you can now work out whether the National Enquirer are truthful or not...

Hans-Werner Henze is dead - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20109290 Difficult to know where to put this death as he was also recorded in "Gay Dead" and in "Opera" and could also qualify for "Foreign Personalities", "The Dead of 2012" and "The Thread For People Called Hans-Werner". -
How Kee and Greaves have outlived Williamson and Morris, I'll never know...

Don't forget Monaco in that list, their flag also fits in there. -
I'm not in favour, no. It's easy enough to get an obit as it is.

Ideas And Possibilities For 2013
Octopus of Odstock replied to The Unknown Man's topic in DeathList Forum
I've been at a motor racing event today where Murray Walker was there, looking in great health. He'll make 90 without doubt (next October). However - and I can't verify this with much iweb nformation - I was told by a good friend of mine who is also a good mutual friend of Jasper Carrott, that the comedian is "not in good health" and has "some kind of a disease". Alll gloriously too vague for my liking and Carrott's website links to a 2013 tour... but said friend is not one for illness-creating or sensationalising. If anyone wants to plump for the Brummie, then good luck. He goes on my longlist, but I don't feel confident enough to go for him without any back up, so I thought I'd share the information. -

There's a newspaper report near where she lives, in Somerset (I think) about a local connection about witches. She's now 70, but has "not been in the best of health" in the last few years. I wouldn't pick her for the DDP, but I wouldn't be shocked to hear of her death either. -
76 is about right - ignore the giving birth due a show bollocks - http://www.shropshir...on-talks-panto/, he was 74 on an article on New Year's Eve 2010, so was born sometime in 1936.

Not that I am, in any way, a fan of Rangers, but I just wonder if there needs to be a separate thread for "Lets laugh at Rangers and how useless and annoying they are" and put keep more football discussion (as in, how much more of a twat can Ashley Cole aspire to) in this thead?? Just my tuppence.
