I reckon he will make it to the funeral then deteriorate quickly after that.

Shane MacGowan.Teally tough call between him and Carter.

Give the money to a mental health charity as it was such an important and dear cause that was very close to Mrs Carters heart. You can decide which one as I am not sure which charities over in the US are high quality as you have to be careful which organisations you send money to.

Tony Booth and Liz Dawn both died on the same day and their deaths were announced the following day within the same hour.

Seems a massive coincidence that Jimmy has lasted 9 months on hospice alone let alone that his wife has joined him.Makes me highly suspicious this is more of a detailed advanced directive ( no CPR , IV antibiotics , IV fluids , NG feeding , invasive ventilation life sustaining oxygen etc).Basically a keep me home and do nothing remotely radical instruction rather than we need to actively or intensely or even actively palliate them now.
-
I do wonder what definition of hospice they are using. In Jimmy's case it certainly seems the most basic form of having a DNAR with an instruction not to go to hospital if the cause of admission is reversible (I.e a broken bone).

Crikey this is becoming an entire saga.

Guess he is making it look rather appealing at this point.

Bone cancer? No but it's clearly being used as a euphemism for old age combined with severe illness and frailty.

He is more than thin.Gaunt is the word I would use.His skin colour isn't great either and his skin also looks waxy. Agreed I doubt he will die imminently but he looks very seriously ill .Looks like a 2024 death to me. Looks ill and frail enough that a fall or cold could see him off.I wonder if it's cancer based on the weight loss.He is giving off John McCrirrick vibes of late. Also he looked awful in the last photo a few weeks back and looks even sicker this time suggesting a prolonged decline.

They knew what they where doing when they worded the statement like that.

Just saw Cat O`Falks post about there not being a thread for Ronnie Corbett which I found surprising given his age notability and high profile collpase. Anyway he is of course best known for his role in the Two Ronnies and the sitcom Sorry! and is considered widely to be a "national treasure".He collapsed in a restaurant 3 years ago.He also spent several days in hospital last year after suffering chest pains. He also vehemently dismissed rumours of his retirement last year but I haven`t seen him on TV since Rolf Harris was convicted.I would be surprised if he went this year or next but he is nearly 85 and not been in the rudest of health so certainly one to keep on the radar. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2541730/It-goodnight-getting-new-knee-Ronnie-Corbett-came-close-death-collapsed-having-joint-replacement.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/10700961/Ronnie-Corbett-suffers-chest-pains.html http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/Ronnie-Corbett-m-fed-retirement-rumours/story-20878060-detail/story.html

No but he is an icon at the top of living A Listers and has very nearly made the Drop 40 for the last couple of years in a row.
