I think it will be painfully close and a repeat of the 1981 deputy leadership election between Healey and Benn with Andy Burnham scraping it over Corbyn.If Corbyn gets it there will most probably be a split in the party much like when the SDP jumped ship.I won`t be voting though because I don`t support labour.I considered voting tactically but that can backfire so I decided against it.

I concur with spade she should make the news however briefly but she is a shoe in for the BBC website the mail and the guardian. She was in Corrie on and off for 15 years which should cement her chances. After all Lyndam Gregory and Sophia Haque got fairly wide online coverage and they wheren`t in the show very long .Does anyone here remember her being on the street? Off the top of my head jade goody lasted a month in a hospice and bernie nolan lasted over 3 months (before returning home for final week i think) . Usually you have weeks left rather than months but its looking like 60/40 he dies in 2015 . Could go down to the wire with him dying in mid to late december. I have to confess that I don` t know very much about his particular type of cancer only that it is extremely aggressive and gets you quickly.If he makes September he will be in the 5% of sufferers that make the one year mark.I reckon he will be gone in about 2 weeks.He has been very open about "giving up" which usually means you don`t last as long.I wonder what the median survival rate is for hospice patients.

Well I live within reasonable travelling distance to get to Canterbury or London so would attempt to come if enough people are interested. Never met anyone on the DL forums before but most of you seem like fun sort of people and if all other conversation fails we could always just revert back to talking about dying celebrities and pass the time with copious amounts of alcohol.

My bad.Well I read that he has stopped making public appearances and lives in assisted living center now.He also lost his wife 4 years ago and stopped going out to conventions after that.I reckon he will get a good deal of attention when he does go.

Interesting.He must at 95 1/2 be one of the oldest dwarves alive.I always thought they had a far lesser life expectancy.I think he is the last surviving cast member of the Wizard of Oz now unless I am mistaken.I know he is the last surviving munchkin but not sure about the rest of the cast.

Bush discharged from hospital. Surgery was not needed, the spinal cord was intact. On the other hand, he looks awful, unlike his wife who looks splendid at 90. I think while he looks quite frail now he looks like your average 85 yearold .I wouldn`t say he looks over 90 despite being 91 now.He is still appearing in public and has all his marbles .I reckon he still has another couple of years left in him.I agree that Barbara looks very good for her age though.I would be surprised if she went first.
