My dear old Grandfather died at 1.45 this morning from complications following a chest infection. He had been suffering from peripheral neuropathy for the past 35 years and was very immobile and frail in the last several years. In the words of his nurse "he was talking to me then just stopped breathing".He was 92 and 3/4 and said on the phone 5 hours beforehand that "I have to go now I feel very tired love to you all".We got to the nursing home just 10 minutes too late. It`s a shame he isn`t famous as he would have taken great pleasure in fucking up everyone`s entries for next year .I`m going to miss that loveable old sod!

I doubt it will be a good one though! She is a must have for Death list 2015.

If he's aware of death pooling he's almost certainly aware of this site... wonder if he's reading this? If you are Sam we're not picking you because we want you to die, (in fact as a simpsons fan, I'd prefer it if you were immortal) the fact is your young, have admitted you have cancer and are probably going to die and DDP rewards that kind of choice in teams. P.S of the thousands of mildly famous people who are potentially going to die next your, you're so well respected by a DDP team to be chosen as one of just 20 names they can through in a hat, that should be an accolade on your end. We love you Sam, may you do a Wilko on us please. I would have agreed with this until he made that callous comment about Roger Ebert (and by implication other cancer victims). Now I think he's a cunt. It is ironic he is mocking Ebert`s will to survive when he lasted over ten years and lived to 70.Those are two things Sam will never do.

He has definitely said it is in his brain.Either way he is fucked.

hahahahaha that genuinely made me laugh.

He will never be on the list that long.He has cancer in 7 places including vital organs and the brain.Defying the odds doesn`t improve the facts or overall prognosis.

Are you kidding the girl is completely insane and hanging around with numerous drug addicts so it is only a matter of time unless she gets serious psychological help which she has rejected in the past. It is the DDP Drop 40 and Ian Watkins made it on last year so the public opinion clearly doesn`t always correspond with Death list standards. Cheers for pointing out the various spelling errors. They are now all amended accordingly. Most where accidental apart from de Havilland and van der Westhuizen.de Haviland incidentally is spelled incorrectly on the DL front page which is probably what started that confusion. The Chands ah yes. I grappled with that one and it is risky. If their claim is verified and one dies the second may well get a obituary in some form. If Katari dies first then Karam might well get an obituary as he is one of the oldest men in Britain. At their age also they could die within a short time frame of each other and get a joint obituary. It is all ifs and buts however that is all part of the game.

Brilliant actor.

I like Some of the editions such as David Rockefeller Sir Nicholas Winton and Boutros Boutros Ghali but I found there where a lot of people I hadn`t heard of and seem a bit obscure. There are also people like Charles Aznavour who are very weak candidates.I also think that Jimmy Carter and Betty White are too active to be good Deathlist material.

Fuck sake, not even close to enough members for a DDP theme team! Most won`t get a qualifying obit anyway.

Not really no.It just makes next year more interesting.
