Dying Probably

Bob Casey Jr.

Recommended Posts

Diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Figured it was worth a thread considering the second tweet implies he is retiring, which would likely mean that he's not doing great.

Thoughts?

I don't see where it implies he's retiring. He says he'll continue his service in the 118th Congress.

The need to say "118th Congress" rather than just "Congress", where his term expires at the end of said Congress, implies that to me, at least.

Prostate cancer really isn't a big killer in men aged 60+. You can have it treated and/or live with it for decades, and more than often something else will kill you first.

Roger Moore, the last King of Thailand, Ronald Reagan, Tony Curtis, Desmond Tutu, Colin Powell all had prostate cancer earlier in life but died from other causes.

Pat Robertson also had it and is (sadly) still with us.

Ah I see. I just thought it was a reference to his portion of the 118th swearing in this week, as the House has held up the entire swearing in.

Thread locked.

Politicians thread is sufficient for discussing him.
