Liston complained that his 'the bear' nickname was stupid because black men have less body hair than white men. Reg bet him that Sonny had more hair on his leg than he did. Sonny took the bet and when they rolled up their trousers Reg - of course - won the bet. Liston apparently almost doubled up with laughter.
