football_fan 42 Posted November 14, 2004 Despite having a history of 4 heart attacks, Mr Chaney has not experienced any health problem since just before the 2000 presidential elections. This latest "shortness of breath" event seems to be a false alarm. At the hospital his pacemaker readout over the last 3 months showed no irregularity and an electrocardiogram showed nothing abnormal. But then again, you never know how well his heart and his health will hold up, given his previous history of problems. We will just have to wait and see! Damocles 1 Posted November 15, 2004 He might be ok for now, but he like all of us has the sword of damocles hovering above his head. *note to self...must remember to send old Dick a nice new microwave for christmas*
Guest LilMimi Posted July 19, 2005 Mr. Cheney 64 underwent a physical last week. he was given an overall clean bill of health, but was found to have some minor artery blockage in his legs. Heart trouble and leg circulation issues? Not a good prognosis for an older gent I'd say!
Guest DeathLister Posted July 19, 2005 As a retired economic analyst from the Brookings Institution in Washington, I've dealt with numbers and carefully calculated projections for years. I predict that by the year 2015 Dick Cheney will have passed away.

VSBfromH 74 Posted September 5, 2005 There is already a Dick Cheney thread here. OK, I thought there was. But without the search engine working, it's getting increasingly difficult to find old threads (well done to you for doing so!) Please feel free to merge. sympathyforthedevil 11 Posted September 5, 2005 it is with the deepest regret that i have to announce that Dick Cheney is alive and well Tragically, so is Donald Rumsfeld. And George W Bush. And Condi Rice. In fact, not one of the Bush Administration has died yet. It's just not what we've come to expect from people so intent on causing suffering. Then again, I suppose they are making people suffer by continuing to live, so their aims are currently being achieved.
GracieJc8 3 Posted September 16, 2005 www.cnn.com- The office of the Vice President has just anounced that he will undergo surgery next weekend for an anuersym behind his right knee.
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2005 as usual Cheneys spokespeople are downplaying t his latest health scare ,but ive heard of people having blood clots in the leg that have ended up going to their heart or lung and killing them withuot them even knowing anything was wrong..believe me this is NOT routine surgery..it is potentially life threatening, and the White House wil be on stand by just in case th ings go badly wrong. So lets keep our fingers crossed that it does! Guest Guest Posted September 23, 2005 Cheney is undergoing the surgery tomorrow. According to his office he will remain in the hospital for at least 2 days. That's not all, the office has also revealed that he has another anuerysm behind his other knee that he will undergo surgery on that at a later date. With heart trouble and leg circulation issues, the chances of Mr. Cheney living to a great old age do not sound very well.
themaninblack 2,112 Posted September 23, 2005 Lets put it this way, LBJ, vice-President-turned-President had heart problems and died aged 64... And I doubt that Clinton will live as long as Ford or Reagan...
Banshees Scream 110 Posted September 24, 2005 And I doubt that Clinton will live as long as Ford or Reagan... It's difficult to predict but i might agree with you acconting on his apparent slight heart problums. He is though one of the smartest presidents ever to be in office with his IQ being a unusual high. Perhaps he will manage a way to live into his 90's? As far as i'm concerned for me i feel Reagon was a lucky man to live untill 93 years old. Not only was he nearly assassinated but he had Alzheimers for nearly 15 years? Though it only really started to progress terribly in maybe the last 5 - 7 years of his life. "Though some may just disagree with that" And Gerald Ford... We shall see.. I personally think he will last the year. I have high hopes on his death for 2006. Honestly i really wouldn't be suprised if he lived a few years infact. It is a possibility the Fords are keeping his frailty in the closet from being attacked by the media but we can only wait and see. I'm betting a very suddon stroke should get it done. I suspect that we are not being told the whole story regarding Mr. Cheney's medical condition.
Guest LilMimi Posted September 24, 2005 Doctors say the surgery was a success, that they removed both anuerysms from his knees during a six hour procedure.
