The grand Old Duke of Kent

Even if he has slowed down, the Duke is doing great for 89.
  2. Viceroy

    Donald J Trump

    Trump 2024. Le Pen 2027. Farage 2028.

    Queen Camilla

Agreed. We'll get over it though, just as we did when Queen-Empress Victoria died and Queen-Empresss Alexandra took over... times move on. Technically, her correct style is actually 'The Queen' whilst her husband is on the throne. But maybe that's splitting hairs!!!
  4. Viceroy

    Queen Camilla

Name of the thread should be changed to Queen Camilla as she is widely known.

US Election pt 2. The Vote

You may talk to your trembling wife like that, but don't talk like that to me like that. Thank you.

US Election pt 2. The Vote

    I'm supporting The Donald.

    Dead Pop Stars

I was a One Direction fan and still listen to them, really sad news. He always came across as a nice polite lad. Police are saying... https://www.justjared.com/2024/10/16/police-reveal-details-on-liam-paynes-death-reports-surface-about-his-final-moments/ A skull base fracture with a fall from 40 odd ft. Didn't even try resuscitation when they arrived. Yikes.

New Here And Just Saying Hello

    Hello I'm new.
  9. I voted Tory for the first time in 2017 and 2019 and won't be doing so again - voted Ukip in 2015 & Reform in 2024, before that was too young to vote. The Tories talk a good game all the time, but do the polar opposite of what they promise. Jenrick or Badenoch, who cares? Appalling party that needs to die.

    Paul Biya

How very Soviet of them - I take it he's doing summersalts in the garden then.

    The 6th Death of 2024

Jimmy Carter just before (or after) the presidential election.

    32. Norman Tebbit

Lord Tebbit was always a must-read in the Telegraph during the Cameron years when the rest of mainstream media were covering for him. Probably my favourite former cabinet minister left alive now that Lord Lawson has gone.
  13. Fully expect Dame Joan Collins to make her late 90s or more. Looks fantastic.
  14. Viceroy

    King Charles III

Good news for The King and Queen before they land Down Under with a poll showing a slump in republican support. I've said it for years - I fully expect there to be a King William V of Australia and King George VII of Australia in my lifetime.
  15. Viceroy

    King Charles III

It'll be interesting to see whether he manages beats King William IV (7 years) and King-Emperor Edward VII (9 years) in terms of reign, as they too came to the throne at advanced ages for their time.
