Yes, it is distressing to see. He does not look like someone who's able to eat or drink much if at all. I hope they're not just prolonging his suffering by feeding him using a nasogastric tube or something like that.

He's in hospice and his face doesn't show any kind of scarring, so I doubt he's using any feeding tube. Whatever might be the case, hope he goes out peacefully in his sleep without any suffering.

Managed to stay awake for about 1 minute 15 seconds after leaving the house then fell asleep. Slept throughout the flyover.

It's nice for DL to be able to do some form spotting but I really don't think his family should have wheeled him out.

I'll give him a month. Tops.

Looks more mummified than human at this point.

I'd like to see more westerners appear on the immortals list for next year. All these random Chinese and Indian ppl are a bit boring.

Always thought Dick Van Dyke should be on there considering he was doing pilates and situps at the gym aged 98, despite the fact that he was an alcoholic many years ago and nobody ever thought he'd make old bones.

I agree with having more westerners appear too, but so far I've had little success with my suggestions despite most of them ending up dying not long after I suggest them.

I think the other is popular 1950s actress Tian Hua, 96 in December.

Wang Zhenyi was apparently too ill to attend, but was visited:

The wiki article says her husband and son were suffering from cancer back in 2015 but it seems her husband at least is still alive.

Seeing Wang Zhenyi is 99 years old apparently and in this bad a condition, he's got to be a candidate for the immortals list next year surely.

  5. While looking for news on the annual Medal of Honor convention that is supposed to be going on in the city of San Antonio right now, I came across this. Apparently the National Medal Awards ceremony for China took place and two recipients in particular stood out as very old and frail, the man (definitely military judging by the outfit and the fact he does a salute later on) at the 6:51 mark and the lady at 7:18. They were in wheelchairs and had to be escorted to the ceremony, the old military man somehow stood with assistance and gave a speech at the 22 minute mark of the video (potential immortal?) before being taken back to his wheelchair.

@drol @arghton I have zero clue who those two are, but I'm sure you would know.

In other news, Jacques Laffite made a rare public appearance earlier this October attending a classic car event in France along with fellow racing drivers Henri Pescarolo and Jean Ragnotti. Laffite has Parkinson's but it still seems to be in the early stages, so the scavenger hunt teams who picked him probably aren't going to get a result here.

All three drivers attended another Classic Days event this July along with Jacky Ickx and a few other ex-Le Mans drivers. Ragnotti (far left) is much thinner compared to what I can recall of his previous appearance, same with Laffite (far right) who in addition appears hunched now.

Ragnotti and Laffite have committed to the Nogaro Classic Festival in October (and they will attend, historic events like these are the lifeblood for these old Le Mans drivers and it would take a serious illness to prevent them from going) but crucially Pescarolo hasn't even though he's been to this exact event before.

Looking at the non linked drivers, there aren't any names that immediately stand out as being around. Haven't checked the linked names but Hans Herrmann is still around if he was there.

It seems Hans Herrmann didn't participate in 1955 because of injuries he sustained earlier in a practice crash in Monaco, so Da Silva Ramos is the only one left assuming all other drivers are dead. Some real interesting backstories to some of the names though. Mortimer Morris-Goodall is apparently Jane Goodall's father, Goodall's co-driver Leslie Brooke was awarded the George Medal in World War II, French driver Pierre Louis-Dreyfus became a centenarian, Riseley-Prichard was in a child pornography scandal, Dr. Mario Damonte was apparently a chemist. Then there's others who saw fame in the automotive industry (test driver Norman Dewis for example).

The best bits of the 110club about Charlotte's untimely death:

I can’t believe, we lost Maria branyas and charlotte kretschmann

I can’t believe she died in her sleep and same Maria branyas, they died in her sleep

THIS CAN'T HAPPEN, SHE WAS A GRANDMA TO ME, I FOLLOWED HER ON INSTAGRAM FOR A LONG TIME, CHARLOTTE CAN'T DIE

I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL, I AM REALLY CRYING RIGHT NOW, CHARLOTTE WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE SUPERCENTENARIAN EVER, THOSE WHO FOLLOWED KANE TANAKA WHO WAS MY SECOND FAVORITE SUPERCENTENARIAN EVER CAN UNDERSTAND ME.
I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED
CHARLOTTE YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPACE IN MY HEART REST IN PEACE, I FEEL LIKE MY LIFE HAS NO MEANING NOW...

These 110club stans remind me exactly of these anime and TV show stans who go completely unhinged because their favorite character died in their show. Actually it feels like SC's as a whole are treated like movie characters there and It's so fucking weird honestly. I've observed certain fan favorites (Charlotte as you saw here but Tekla Juniewicz, Bob Weighton come to mind and of course Kane Tanaka) that usually get more mourners while others (usually Japanese or Latin American SCs) they don't really bother about much.

It's also such a shame because there are genuinely some good people on there who put in hard work and research or are genuinely interested, but the stans and their obsession with longevity and milestones just ruin it for all.

  9. Hungarian composer Franz Liszt in March 1886, four months before his death. He was something of an immortal among composers, he outlived almost all of his contemporaries and lived quite a long life for a composer, reaching the age of 74 despite being in ill health for around seven years at that point.

About that time for a Medal of Honor recipient update, and especially since they had their annual convention back in November 2023.

In the first pic Roger Donlon (in the wheelchair) continues to embrace being an immortal, attending the convention seemingly with ease despite Parkinson's and a stay in hospice back in August. Jay Vargas (bottom far left) is now using a cane. Barney Barnum (bottom far right) has been frail and using a cane for a while now so nothing new with him. In the second pic, I think that's 97 year old Ralph Puckett in the wheelchair 2nd from the right. Nothing I see of note besides that, though they are an aging bunch.

Honestly at this point I think Jose Rodela who hasn't been seen around in ages because of dementia and heart failure, will go before Donlon or Puckett.

Well this prediction ended up totally wrong, but I found out that Jose Rodela made a public appearance at an NFL halftime event back in 2022 and he can be seen in a wheelchair looking very frail and seemingly clueless as to where he is, which lines up with the source I found claiming he's suffering from dementia. Roger Donlon was in that halftime event too and could still move around so it tells you a lot on how bad Rodela's condition was even back then, and adding heart failure to the mix I can only imagine how much it's worsened now.

I'd like to throw in another possibility in the singer who performs in the video, Lee Greenwood of "God Bless the U.S.A" fame. He's 81 and just retired from performing this year because of health reasons.

  11. Unfortunately there is no concrete evidence and the whole post is very unclear but my fragile as glass Bangladeshi actress pick Pori Moni, seems to have been in the hospital for "vertigo" not too long ago according to her Facebook post.

It was Beenhakker's 82nd birthday yesterday, but it seems like it wasn't one he enjoyed. Someone called him yesterday and Beenhakker told him he now lives in loneliness, doesn't want anything to do with other people and that he's not doing well. Link (in Dutch)

"Someone" is actually Jack Van Gelder, who made this iconic piece of commentary.

Back on topic though, Beenhakker seems to have been very frail for years. Not too surprised to hear he isn't well, perhaps he should make the DL return in 2025? (if he does, surely it would be a world record for the longest gap between DL appearances with 34 years?)

  13. My cousin is my go to person for knowledge and rumors of all things internet celebrity, so I asked him if there were any potentials. This was what I came to know. Also putting in a few that I know of.

    • Boogie2988 seems to be mentioned a few times already, but he's gone even more off the deep end. It seems he had a confrontation with political commentator Destiny and was exposed as a cancer faker, after getting caught he threatened to self harm on that livestream. Clearly mentally unstable.
    • Patrick "PopularMMOS" Julianelle who according to close sources has become a severe drug addict and alcoholic to the point it will eventually kill him. Has also been arrested several times apparently. Has 17M subscribers apparently so quite big.
    • Stuart Taylor of Chain Bear F1 who's had physical and mental health issues around the time he stopped uploading, but is doing fine currently.
    • Shane Burcaw of Squirmy and Grubs who has muscular dystrophy but he's falls in the classic "famous for being ill" category.
    • I've mentioned Lill Droniak from Kevin and Lill before. They stopped making videos a few years back but it seems she's still around on instagram. 94 years old and in a wheelchair now.
    • Then there's this smaller YouTuber Ollie Talks Airsoft (120k subs) who I came across, who has stage 4 Bowel cancer and was given "3 months to live" back in January but is still alive as of August.

  14. Reports that ex YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki is dead. The poster (Dennis Troper) is her husband and I just cannot see him faking something like this, especially since he lost his son just a few months ago.

William Calley, Army officer convicted in the My Lai massacre, died in April aged 80.

I thought this cunt died years ago, either way good riddance and may this be the last mention of him now that he's gone. We should be remembering Hugh Thompson, Larry Colburn and Glenn Andreotta, not this cunt.
