So December 7th has happened and I do have some Pearl Harbor Survivor updates for you.

Ike Schab ended up making it to Hawaii after all, as did Freeman Johnson, Herb Elfring and two survivors I weren't aware of, Harry Chandler and Ken Stevens. There were apparently another man expected (not named), but he wasn't feeling well so he missed the ceremony. Lou Conter didn't attend either. https://www.kcra.com/article/survivors-of-pearl-harbor-attack-returning-to-honor-those-who-perished/46063789

There's also 106 year old Bill Monforte, who's most definitely the oldest living survivor. I can also confirm Sterling Cale is still alive. Not counting the anonymous survivor who missed the ceremonies, here are the remaining survivors.

    Louis Conter (102)

    Ike Schab (103)

    Freeman Johnson (103)

    Bill Monfort (106)

    Harry Chandler (102)

    Herb Elfring (101)

    Ken Stevens (102)

    Sterling Cale (102)

Only 2 made it this year.

Saw a article mentioning 16 survivors still living.

He didn't say "entire four years", he said: “Fortunately I won’t be around to experience the four years.”

Directly from the article, "Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke has said he is glad he “won’t be around” to experience the full duration of Donald Trump’s second term as president." Sure seems as if he was saying the entire four years!

Either way it wasnt worth bumping his thread you fruit.

imho, dropping Imelda Marcos, Buzz Aldrin and Raul Castro is not a great idea… Ted Turner and Tom Brokaw on the other hands doesn't seem at death door yet…

Can you make a list of those rejected in order of them eviction ?

How many people left on this year's list seemed like a cert at the beginning? Who knows anymore...

I would also like to see that list of rejected candidates though!

@Bibliogryphon I know that the game is over now, since the 20 names have already been eliminated, but I wanted to ask you if we can continue removing and adding points to the names until in the end there is only 1 name left? I really liked this game, obviously that would not influence the result, these are the 25 names that should remain, if you want to at least create another thread to continue this game.

    Seems boring. Obvious final 2.

Of course it exists. But in that particular case, it doesn’t play any role I think.

If Trump was a woman, I think I would have the same amount of voters. It’s his ideology not his gender who make people endorse or hate him.

Sexism is part of his ideology...

    Wow, I think it’s a 6th grader level reflection.

The Americans didn’t vote for Hilary and Trump in 2016 because they were a woman and a man, but because they were democrats and republicans. And Hilary did win the popular vote.

Saying that women have more qualities than men is as sexist and absurd than saying the opposite.

So according to you, Margaret Thatcher, Edith Cresson and Elizabeth Borne were very good PM ?

And I suppose that you voted Marine Le Pen in the presidential election ?

I wouldn't say this is 100% true. Sexism certainly exists on some level in voting patterns. Hopefully we are at the point where it is a marginal one, but I'm not sure.
