    The English Language

In the good old days somebody would have been kneecapped by the spelling/poor grammar police If they had posted that, or summat. It seems to me that the deterioration of spelling and grammar is linked to the proliferation of more and more gadgets, iPads, Kindles, iphones and whathaveyou. At least people are always blaming them for it. Personally I think it's just showing off.

    The Dead Of 2012

Search option as outlined above - http://www.deathlist...ndpost&p=178871 Both of you should have used the search option. News of his death was posted here yesterday. I've said this before, but I think all deaths should be recorded in the "Dead of (current year)" thread. That way, we have a comprehensive record of the year's deaths in one place.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

As others say, he was in Airwolf, but to me he'll always be The Worlds Greatest Athlete (Disney film), he was also in the Charles Bronson film The Mechanic and in TV series The Winds Of War.....was involved in a major car crash some years ago which has affected his memory a bit. No ....... maybe I had him mixed up with Paul Michael Glaser. That might be it.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

Isn't he from Airwolf? So I gather, but I've never watched it. Good to see you back, Vaagy.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

I thought I'd heard of Jan Michael Vincent, but on looking him up, I don't recall watching anything he's been in, and I don't really recognise him (he looked a bit like Swayze in younger days). Who else might I have been thinking of?

    Crashing Companies

I had to look up Twinkies to see what they were. If they're that wonderful, why aren't UK shops full of them?

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

Ah, I did know that, but felt it didn't count as I couldn't name or recognise any individual building. That's down to my own ignorance, admittedly.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

I can only say I'm familiar with one of each - Pei's glass pyramid at the Louvre, which I'm sure everyone has seen; and Niemeyer's atrocity in Le Havre:

    Jimmy Savile

Even John Peel? I don't really associate him with TOTP. Probably because he always seemed slightly embarrassed to be there, and a bit bored.

    Jimmy Savile

I think they should edit out ALL the DJs from the entire TOTP archive. I loathed and despised every one of the smug, cringey wankers. Not one of them was remotely cool, and getting rid of them would have made room for an extra track every week.

    Ask A Deathlister

I just did, although I'd completely forgotten about it and only remembered as I passed the polling station on my way home. I was number 47, apparently. I voted because I don't think this should be a party political appointment, so I voted for the two Independent candidates just to make a point. In fact one of them sounds like a genuinely good choice.

    Room 101

Strictly speaking that is also the case in the UK, but the Royal British Legion states: This is only on ceremonial occasions such as Remembrance Day, mind. You're not supposed to wear them for a trip to Sainsburys.

    Room 101

You can wear a relative's medals as a tribute as long as you wear them on the right hand side. Windsor, you will be pleased to know that I did get my comeuppance a couple of years back when an elderly chap spotted them: Him: Ah, another Burma Star! Me: Yes, it's my father's. Him: Your husband's, is it? Me (a bit put out): No, my Dad's! Him (clearly very hard of hearing): Your son's?

    Room 101

Well that's tough shit, because I always wear my Dad's medals, and did so again today. He died when I was very young. Someone usually asks about the medals so I get a chance to talk about him and bring him back to me for a little while.

    Gerry And Sylvia Anderson

I have always got Francis Matthews confused with Gerald Harper, as they resemble one another somewhat. Harper is still around too.

    The New Dunn...

Apart from the typo (you did mean 'immortality', yes?), I mostly agree with you. Except I wouldn't insist that candidates need to have been "constantly on the deathlist".

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2013

I see what you did there but it was slightly ruined by the fact Falk had a serious case of the deads in 2011. Now that was worth dropping in for

    Bill Tarmey

I thought he was older than that, then I realised I had confused him with Stan Ogden. I always felt Vera and Jack were a bit Hilda and Stan Mk2.

    Clive Dunn

I'm sure someone did, we're a bit spoiled for choice with a name like that. Over and Dunn With Dunn and Dusted Dunn In Dunn For His Earthly Race Is Dunn .... and many more no doubt

Blakey? He's on my current DDP list ....
