Authors Last A Long Time, But....
DevonDeathTrip replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Someone who I don't think has ever been mentioned here before is Mary Rockerfeller Morgan, 86, author, psychotherapist and the daughter of former US Vice President Nelson Rockerfeller. She specializes in bereavement therapy for people who have lost a twin. Her own twin brother Michael is believed to have been killed and eaten by the Asmat tribe while visiting Papua New Guinea in 1961. -
Bert Horrabin is featuring prominently as a silent character at the moment and I would think is going to be killed off shortly. He used to be played by Martyn Read, who died in 2022. Apparently he also appeared in something called Star Wars.

Senator Edward Kennedy has been hospitalised after suffering stroke-like symptoms.

Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

I have emailed Hamas, explained my DDP predicament and asked for proof of life verification. I'll let you know if they get back to me. -
"Lemmy, a man who once survived a two-week amphetamine bender on just two fruit pies and some yoghurt, was hospitalised last week for dehydration and exhaustion. Lemmy's manager has been trying to get him to start a more healthy lifestyle so the European tour can continue. Lemmy has compromised... he's agreed to start adding ice cubes to his Jack Daniels. " I would like to suggest Lemmy as a possible death list candidate, I can't predict exactly how he will die, but he might spontaneously combust Discuss. DDT

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

Why do my moderation efforts always go under the radar? @The Old Crem I have closed down all four of your most recent reports, in which you allege you are the victim of 'bullying'. You have been asked on numerous occasions to stop posting tweets without any context. You have been placed on mod preview twice for doing it and previously been suspended from posting. Yet still you persist. Change your behaviour, stop annoying people and stop abusing the report function. Otherwise, I don't really have a problem with people calling you out for it . -
A rare appearance this week from Patricia Greene (93) as Jill in the Archers. Apparently she is almost completely blind, very deaf and the word is her scene was recorded in the care home where she has lived for some time.

For Mrs DDT's team. Hopefully Anthea Turner next

He's on my DDP squad. I reckon he's dead, but not nearly so sure there will ever be enough proof of his demise for DDP points. -
Too much tippy tappy stuff and not nearly enough aggression. We should have put the fear of God into them and first target should have been someone's femur.

Donations are being sought for lighting engineer Candace Brightman, a big part of the Grateful Dead family. Not exactly a household name, but I have a feeling she might obit, as a pioneering woman in her field of work.

I know this is a fairly tenuous claim to fame, but Mrs DDT and I sponsored Ollie Watkins' kit many moons ago when he was turning out for Exeter City's youth team

Or perhaps he could try the Keith Moon approach

General Election 2024?

A strange stat from the election - there is now only one Football League team -Bromley FC - based in a Conservative constituency. -
Norwegian cyclist Andre Drege, 25, has been died following a crash in today's stage of the Tour of Austria.

I see Cruella Braverman got back in. I'm sure she'll be there to help steady the ship during her party's wilderness years -
Just noticed that Phil Molloy, who plays Will Grundy, has now been on The Archers for 35 years. That's a fairly brief tenure for an Archers actor, but given he is still only 43 and has stated his intention to stay on the programme "until I die", then he may go on to break all sorts of acting longevity records.

I've only just heard about this I hardly watch any TV, but I loved the Deadliest Catch. I remember Nick breaking his nose when a crane hook hit him - he only took an hour off before returning to work.

The search heads into the hills... I think Mosley might have chosen a bigger island if he'd wanted to start a new life as a mountain man

Very good. I like most apocalyptic fact and fiction . Without getting too political, I do worry about Trump getting his hands on these toys again. I won't spoil it for you, but the 'Devils Scenario' which befalls California is particularly spine chilling.

I'm currently working my way through Annie Jacobson's cheery new book Nuclear War, A Scenario, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone of a nervous disposition. Anyway, Bill Clinton's Secretary of state William Perry, 96, was interviewed extensively for the book and is clearly still very alert, with a good recall for previous events. I just thought I'd mention that, as Perry is a perennial deadpool pick, but there never seems to be any news on how he's doing.

Well done @max_bossetti. I think that's a fair result and, even if my deceased puppeteer had scored me points, I hadn't done anything about getting a new team together, so would have been disqualified anyway. Will be back next year for more.

Sorry to start a new thread, I don't do it very often. Apart from Bobby Sands and his IRA buddies, has anyone actually successfully starved themselves to death in recent times? There seem to be an awful lot of attention seekers like Saddam Hussain, Ian Brady and that jailed Serbian Nationalist Leader (whose name temporarily escapes me) who do not finish what they started. I'm sure they'd get quicker results if they went on a breathing strike. And is force feeding still allowed in the UK?

General Election 2024?

Fed up with the lot of them. We need a massive redistribution of wealth, a complete replacement of the entire ruling order, an extremely long wall to line people up against and a firing squad with almost unlimited supplies of ammunition. That said, I'll probably be tacticaly voting Liberal Democrat -
