Yeah, he`s 73 - which I know is comparatively young by the standards of this site - but to be honest, don`t we all want him to die an excruciating death, i.e. being eaten alive by ants over a period of a week while chained to a tree and having his eyes gouged out ?? Or is this just wishful thinking ?? cheers, the authority.

Anyone know why he made the Deathlist in 1987? Sure, he crashed quite a lot in his early career.. ...but he had calmed down considerably by 1987. By the end of his career, he was reliable enough for racing teams to call on him to fill in for drivers otherwise banned or injured. De Cesaris quit racing in 1994, and took a job in the equally thrilling world of currency trading.

I know that last time there was an Alex Higgins thread it turned into a rant fest. So this is more general question, which I suspect will get very few answers-Aren't there a ton of sick and dying snooker players Joe O'Boye, the Francisco's, etc . Suspect this will prove to be a thread to nothing but.......?

Saw a TV programme last night about child stars & was shocked at the state of Jack Wild. He's only about 50 but looks much older. He's had his tongue & larynx removed due to cancer. Doesn't look like he'll make old bones. Anyone know of any other former child stars in a bad way?

F**k sake, he's in his seventies his mother is - obviously - older. Shame she's not famous. Let's have some idle speculation on living parents of famous oldsters and the dates of their eventual deaths. I think Clint Eastwood's 94 year old mother will outlast the aged Murdoch.

could the football-loving, certainly-not-in-it-for-profit Mr Malcolm Glazer be about to meet his maker ? Considering that he is an overweight 78 year old Yank and that many Man Utd fans are seriously thinking about getting rid of him by any means possible, I believe he should be a contender. Mind you, I never understood why they took against him - a man who lives thousands of miles away from Manchester and doesn`t know the first thing about football - sounds like a pretty typical United fan to me.................
