Jimmy Carter has died.

As a centenarian peace laureate from the 2000s, who was awarded alone, he earns 5.714 points (and will be current candidate for the "oldest hit of the year" bonus).

Congrats @Funeralopolis, please choose a new peace laureate - the contest still runs on for a month!

After a few days of confusion, it seems to be true:
Martin Karplus seems to have died -  Somewhen between End of December and the third of January, and I am waiting for an official confirmation.

But the points for @diego will be the following: 3.820 points! Congrats.

Please choose an new chemistry laureate.
