The Daredevil 1,193 Posted April 15 About time this 87-year-old Hollywood icon gets his own thread, especially with his consistent absences in public nowadays, sparking speculation about the state of his health. Doubt he'll see 90. One to keep on the DL's radar.

Evil Grimace 361 Posted August 28 The creation of the Kathleen Turner thread by @The Daredevil reminded me of this created thread. Beatty has had legal fights over the ownership of Dick Tracy from his 1990 film. On 10 Feb 2023 to ensure his continued use of the character and to retain the rights, this special aired. Dick Tracy Special: Tracy Zooms In 'I'm not watching that' summary – Warren Beatty looks fine and engages in a lot of conversation with himself. It is far too meta for my liking with Beatty talking to Dick Tracy (Beatty in character). Most noteworthy aspect – Leonard Maltin walks with a cane now. Only watch if you have 30 minutes you don’t want to spend on something worthwhile.

How does his estate keep control of it? Realistically no one will fund a Dick Tracy film if they don't own the character nowadays...

I think six of those last seven words are superfluous.

A few of these franchises will likely attempt some AI enabled march into the future - not sure how many people will go, but then, not sure how much cash up front an AI enabled actor needs, or how many tantrums that actor would throw between the trailer and the set!
