Lady Die 63 Posted July 6, 2005 I always thought the Queen Mum would live forever (especially as she never did a stroke of work in her entire life).

Violet_De'ath 1 Posted July 6, 2005 Michael Foot seems not to die. Even though he looked like he was dead in 1982! Thatch is another one!

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted July 6, 2005 Surely this guy is immortal! In a manner of speaking I would most definitely have to agree. Seeing as how the current D.L. is the 14th, one gets the feeling that the D.L. continuum is essentially endless and that there will always be a D.L.
Cerberus 304 Posted July 7, 2005 Surely this guy is immortal! That link didn't work for me, I got the "This menu has been disabled" message. But I am impressed that the Deathlist has been going since 1987 (making it rather more than 14 years old). How many people had Internet access in those days? I reckon the first few lists were names scrawled on a sheet of paper and pinned up on a notice-board somewhere. Only transferred onto a website in the mid-1990s
Banshees Scream 110 Posted July 7, 2005 It is infact amazing that the Dl is still up and going even after all these years. I wonder if at any point the creators thought of destroying the whole idea? Mainly because the first couple years were very low in deaths. Speaking of creators who's first idea was it to bring the DL to life? It does say the idea was thought up in a bar in 1987 after Carey Grant's demise but which of the admins brought it to what it is today?

lospalmas7 12 Posted July 7, 2005 That link didn't work for me, I got the "This menu has been disabled" message. I've got the same problem. Can you get into the '2005 Names' forum?

If I click in the link in Oates' original post, it works. But not in any of the quotes.
Captain Oates 21 Posted July 7, 2005 I have fixed the original link. It worked when I first posted it , then failed. Do you mean the 2005 Near Misses? If so, yes. I suppose older threads might be closed by now.
lospalmas7 12 Posted July 7, 2005 I meant the '2005 names' option on the front page of the forum. I can't get into it when using Firefox. Something to do with not being able to find the index.php file.

Gunjaman5000 32 Posted July 8, 2005 To the untrained eye, this may appear bloody ridiculous.
