Lady Die 63 Posted July 10, 2005 Saw a TV programme last night about child stars & was shocked at the state of Jack Wild. He's only about 50 but looks much older. He's had his tongue & larynx removed due to cancer. Doesn't look like he'll make old bones. Anyone know of any other former child stars in a bad way? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

(i wasn't sure if the response re norman wisdom had something to do with this or not......i'm new at this game) and for those curious cynics out there, there actually *are* good acting roles where people don't have to say a word. check out john mills in "ryan's daughter", for example. he happened to win an oscar for that. never said a thing. jack wild is a terrific actor, and i hope he overcomes this tragedy to get back on the rails and do what he loves!
