WW1 Survivors vs Titanic Survivors

Recommended Posts

If you were doing it properly, you should also take into account the individuals nationality. There were Japanese and Itallian soldiers in WW1 and they have a tendency to live longer than Brits.

Hell, we've got the makings of a hit TV show here. We gather all the UK WW1 vets and Titanic survivors in Brinsworth House, show an hour of highlights every night and put it on 24 on some subscription channel for the real saddos.

This show could run for a year or two at least.

We could think up some tasks, like swimming in cold water, dodging explosions on muddy ground etc etc.

A winner, surely.

Better idea, we put them on an island, different sides of the island and give them weapons. Now because the veterans know how to use the weapons they get knives and the Titanic survivers get guns.

[Alright, I'll bite, why Tuesday?

Tuesday's the night I have dinner with my dead grandfather and afterwards I am always looking for some island fun sort of entertainment and quite frankly those re-runs of Gilligan just don't work for me any more and lately Grandfather has been raising a bit of a stink over it too  .

Why not do a poll instead of creating a new thread.

Were there eastern europeans in WW1 as well then?

Google is your friend, buddy! Try researching there. :P

Folks with access to BBC TV might find the second half of this documentary quite interesting.

First part was last night unfortunately. Second part Thurs 15th 9.00pm

Erm, which I mentioned here.

Still I suppose imitiation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Might be if one could spell imitation!

I did watch the first part last night. Riveting stuff. Should be compulsory viewing as a part of the history curriculum.

(Oops, spelling mistake by me too!)

Couldn't agree more Mr. Josco, it certainly should be part of the history curriculum.

I had to video it last night and haven't seen it yet, so don't spoil the ending!

The diminutive Austrian house painter did it!
