Political cartoonist and writer Lin Gui-yu has died. He was 64. He was best known by the pseudonym Yu Fu. According to Lin's family, he died of lung cancer. Lin began publishing political cartoons in a political commentary magazine in the 1980s and became known for challenging restrictions on freedom of speech before martial law was lifted in 1987. He was the first cartoonist ever to draw a political cartoon of late President Chiang Ching-kuo after martial law was lifted and he was seen as a pioneer of political commentary. alt obits guy 3,452 Posted January 12 Mike Toth, an animator with 30+ years of credits between 1980 and 2011, who worked on series including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and the Ghostbusters animated cartoon, died December 29th.
