Don't want to sound bitter but why do the mods tolerate this shite? This is lowest common denomenator stuff. Can anybody get a thread here? From the past few days it seems there are no standards any more. Barely literate morons such as the above come on with stuff that's designed to get nonentities such as this free publicity. Why not have threads on the rest of these Nobodies? All we're getting is continuous drivel and maybe I'm responsible for some of it so I'll shut up.

Worryingly for me, all of the non-entities on your link are all better known to me than at least half a dozen of the DL 50 this year... I'm not proud that Fiddler's Dram spark more recognition with me than Ingmar Bergman but there it is.

 

ps as a child I thought the group was called Fiddler's Dream.... of course once I hit puberty I found out that the two were entirely different, and resulted in completely different types of shame.

Re Fiddlers Dram, a mate of mine knew the co-writer of their top ten single, she was still pulling a goodly few grand a year about a decade back from radio play and compilation rights.

Hey Harry, the only time I've used the report button was for your new thread on the "baby used as club" report when I didn't appreciate the humour. Maybe you took it down. If so, thanks. I dunno, if others want to debate Max Splodge and other publicity-seeking dead beats - and it looks as if they do - I guess it's harmless. I'm just an old fart who's getting older. It seems I'm losing touch with the zeitgeist.

What troubles me about this thread is that it really is, as is Max Splodge himself, the epitomy of self-indulgent claptrap. He is not going to die any time soon. So we have this shite on the apparently respectable thread with some really good stuff labelled self-indulgent claptrap attracting snears and nose-thumbing comments from those who should know better. I'll declare my colours now. I'm with the claptrappers and will venture in to this section only occasionally if ever I have some so-called post-whoring comment to make about Mollie Sugden and maybe the odd famous Belgian.

Exactamente Godot! If it weren't for the self-indulgent clap-trap, if there weren't the personalities, the in-jokes and the post-whoring nonsense, the bickering, bitching and the occasional reference to those who've shuffled off this mortal coil, the Deathlist wouldn't be half what it is now.
