For those of the forum who like myself (briefly) considered him for next year and wondered if he'd QO, the Gurnard belts out the answer:

Stephen Gould obituary

The Telegraph released a full obit for him way back on 21st September.

Hilkka Kinnunen - born 1925, opera singer and prima donna. Still very active but 97, might want to pick her somewhere in case the Telegraph person with an opera obsession Ulitzer mentioned a while ago knows about her.

Finnish opera singer Hilkka Kinnunen not dead, interviewed for a local tv show recently.

Interesting personality. Says that "art has been her life" and that if she hadn't become an actress she'd have killed herself. Her house is full of art from different parts of the world, different eras. Following her career she's lived in Florida and Helsinki, here she shows letters she's received from household names (Obama, Trump, Soros, RFK, DiCaprio and others)

No idea Trump likes opera. Interesting.

Guardian obit for British soprano Margaret Curphey, aged 86.

A frequent face in Wagner operas before retiring to the Isle of Man in 1994 (a fate worse than death).
