maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted February 2, 2007 Very appealing site. She's obviously a lovely and talented lass. She wouldn't do a book of the fund-raising event, of the never ending media circus, Jane Tomlinson thing on us, would she?

Windsor 2,233 Posted February 27, 2007 Josie Grove, the girl who refused further cancer treatment, has died. Very sad. Very sad indeed. I was thinking about her yesterday. I had a feeling she might survive the year. I was wrong. Incidently, I was also wrong to remove her as my Joker.

Octopus of Odstock 2,197 Posted February 27, 2007 Jo5ie Grove, the girl who refused further cancer treatment, has died. Very sad. After thinking about it, I'm still glad I left her off my DDP team, despite meaning more points lost. But I don't feel any moral superiority this morning, just kinda relief I didn't pick her. I only hope Messner goes to make up for it. though. It is sad, unusually high media attention or not.

I'm hoping Messner, Ali, Beefheart and about ten others make up for missing out on Grove and the Iraqi bollock brothers whoever they were....

Can't get over what you have posted here Windsor because I had a spooky idea about her either last night or the night before and I could not sleep this morning, getting up at 4am. Rotten Ali 600 Posted February 28, 2007 @RA & FF: Congratulations on your DDP Hits! Now to go for fidel castro maybe. Not looking for congratulations thanks very much. I guess, the crowd of 15 of us (and 9 who used their joker) who picked Josie did so in the expectation that risk verses payback potencial was far higher than any other person within the DDP point scoring critieria. I'm looking at the consiquences and it looks like the top 7 of the new leader board will all have picked Josie. Its so sad that someone dies young when many live to such advanced ages as my just departed mother, having well reached 83 years of age and so many having many fulfilling events behind them. My thoughts are with Josie's family and friends at this time. Their loss is great but her suffering is at least at an end and she can find true peace now.
