PoliGuy78 0 Posted July 2, 2004 I'm wondering if you guys in England have heard of Hugh Downs. He was a news anchor here in America. Most notably, he co-anchored the American Broadcasting Company's "20/20" for many years. He is 83. I don't know how well he's doing, but keep him in mind as you form the next Deathlist. The Yeti 14 Posted July 2, 2004 Never heard of him myself, but still, we gotta balance the Euro bias somehow
Typhoid Harry 23 Posted July 2, 2004 I simply cannot believe that old Hugh is not better known in the UK. Actually, as journalism is quite the mutual admiration society, I hardly think his death would go unreported by at least Reuters and the Beeb.
BlackThirteen 1 Posted July 3, 2004 Good call. He has to bite it soon. Ever since I found this site I've been racking my brain for good ones and that is one I wish I'd thought of.

Madame Defarge 21 Posted June 5, 2006 I found a photo of Hugh Downs from an article dated October 2005. He doesn't exactly look as though he's been nipping at the fountain of youth but...the only health related thing I found mentioned anywhere is that he's color blindhttp://www.doney.net/aroundaz/celebrity/DA_downs_hugh.jpg. Canadian Paul 97 Posted June 5, 2006 Hugh Downs did a guest voice a few years back for Family Guy when he was in his earlier 80s. Seemed to be good and healthy then, although of course health can deteriorate rapidly. Though overall, I'd say he's still got some juice left in him.
