A question for the founders.......was there a nineties award? Say, for the best picks on each succeeding list. If so, does the winner still walk amongst us?

I voted Iain/Dave, without whom we wouldn't have 'The Best Thread Ever' and our only certified celebrity posts; and what "anally discharged half-digested puddles of sweet corn" (if memory serves correctly - just checked, memory's not spot on but close enough) posts they were.

I would have thought BHB deserved a spot, the 'Crow King' ought to have been there and got one of my votes; and the Royla Forumses gift to the Deathlist, Entropy, the pratical joke who backfired, would have got the other.

I really could have used 15 votes, at least. Picking my top three was just too difficult. I don't post much on here, but I do spend a lot of time floating in the shadows, reading the witty, intelligent posts of all those... erm... witty, intelligent posters... !

I have voted for the sweet tempered, mild mannered Star Crossed - for making me feel so welcome when I joined all those years ago. ( ! ) I also voted for HCW for making me laugh many times. My last vote goes to Alphonsin, simply because he's so nice!

Interesting poll and scores(?). I'll close this poll on 1/1/10 (ish). I'd like to say 1.gif to whoever voted for moi. I feel both honoured and humbled.

That is really hard.

.

But most of the rest missed out by a very slim margin indeed. Josco wherever he is, ATJ who really is one of the wititest people alive, Tempus Fugit who is a true genius in his own mad way, Bruno Brimley ditto

I was planning to send you a knuckle sandwich after havign voted for you but you spoke kindly of me and it melted my heart. I am having elk heart for dinner. Interesting thing about elk heart is it sounds like the name of a town in Illinois (silent S)

Oh and I found Josco

Anubis, Cowboy Ronnie and Magere.

Difficult choice though.

and after I went and voted for you-----mainly because of that jaunty little green thingy dancing around.

Not that I'm biased or owt - because I didn't vote for myself - but everyone I did vote for has bought me a pint.
I bought you several pints you just never showed up so I dranked them down myself. And after I read about you sticking your arm into some animal. Still gives me the shivers, aye that eet dooz.

But it's just so-o-o-o unfair. I mean; I would have also gone for your good self, OoO, Bruno, Lardy.....etc. I mean, there's loads to celebrate. Let's not fall out over this eh?

all is forgiven since you didn't know I'd been buying you a keg every Tuedsay at noon. and sadly youu spoke too late, I had unharnessed my leg and was preparing to clobber those who failed me and after the elation from your mention of me I leapt to my foot and fell over.

Was it multiple votes?

I thought it was just one...

Up to 3 votes per poster. I mean, obviously, this voting scheme will favour those who hide under multiple aliases, or is it aliai?

Hmmm, mebbe Guest MPFC should register and vote.

I was once caught when not signed in.................they caught me. And they'll catch you too and your little lambs eating.......well whatever lambs eat.

Oh and I found Josco

I wasn't lost, but have a pint anyway.

Fine beer, but like fine wine it doesn't travel well, so you'll have to come and get it.

Sadly the brewery is closing soon (rationalisation or some other marketing bull) and production will move over 100 miles away. I'll have to develop a taste for the product from Masham instead.

Plus ca change......
