Octopus of Odstock 2,215 Posted February 10, 2006 He's at the Winter Olympics ceremony as I speak. He looks very old, confused & frail. Samaranch, who must be around the same age, doesn't. Ciampi certainly has shot up my DDP list all of a sudden.
themaninblack 2,112 Posted December 21, 2007 Antonio Samaranch has been in hospital after collapsing... In the final straight?
maryportfuncity 10,684 Posted December 21, 2007 The linked story just talks about fatigue and makes much of his freeloading - I mean; his dedicated involvement in the Olympic movement. Nowt in there other than a suggestion that his 87year ticker is struggling with his jet setting lifestyle. In other words, he could cut down and see out 2008 on this evidence. DevonDeathTrip 2,366 Posted April 20, 2010 Former International Olympic Committee president Juan Antonio Samaranch is in "very serious condition'' at a hospital in Barcelona. He is suffering from "acute coronary insufficiency", which doesn't sound too good.
