Commtech Sio Bibble 2,369 Posted Monday at 16:59 His absence at Carter's funeral and the inauguration has been put down to supposed 'COVID concerns', but personally that only adds to speculation about his health. It's been 13 years since his heart transplant which puts him on the upper side of the post operation life expectancy. If it was just the inauguration he'd skipped I'd be less concerned but I honestly think he's on his way out.
Movies&Tennis 59 Posted Monday at 17:19 Tbh I think it'll become harder to guess what's an actual concern and what isn't with former Presidents and ex-Presidents and First Ladies because its clear they all despise Trump and I think some would make up any form of illness as an excuse not to attend. Considering Trump has been attacking Cheney's daughter for the last four years I can see a 'oh far too crowded for me to go' explanation because he doesn't want to be anywhere near that guy.
Zsa Zsa's leg 932 Posted Monday at 17:56 I think his absence can be explained in the same way that Michelle Obama and Karen Pence's absences are. Trump made a post about his daughter facing a military tribunal ffs. Ex-presidents generally have an unspoken obligation to attend inaugurations when they are in good health. For first ladies and VPs, it's less strict.

He has just been going on about her again now saying she should be prosecuted.
MrWonderful 498 Posted yesterday at 09:53 I personally don't think that he should have been dropped. As the poster said above and as I myself have said before, we're well past the usual life expectancy with a transplanted heart. Sure, he was the former VP of the United States and I'm sure that he did receive, and is receiving, the best possible care. Still, he can't have much time left, relatively speaking. He's never coming off my list. I'm pot committed!
arghton 7,109 Posted yesterday at 10:31 He's a medical miracle, already overdue 19 years ago when he was suffering from pulmonary oedema due to congestive heart failure and I believe that it's a combination of top-level healthcare, Jayapataka-level luck and lifestyle change that he's alive. The alarming thing here is not attending Carter's funeral.
