Irwin Allen's Hacks

Recommended Posts

This item could go into Sad Last Days or here just as easily, I suppose. Stella Stevens is reportedly suffering dementia of some type - she certainly looks unhealthy for whatever that's worth.

On actor Alex Karras, he passed at 77 back in 2012 (Allen film When Time Ran Out), although he probably received an obit notice in the UK for the so-so TV series Webster wit later in his career. Karras also wrestled professionally for a time in the 1960's when he was suspended from US football career due to gambling problems.

On Martin Milner, he was VERY well-known Statseside as Adam 12 seemed to run on, and on for some years; Route 66 was probably the better series although it is now somewhat obscure. The actual highway Route 66 no longer exists is anybody is curious. There was a good Hal'ween episode of Route.. which featured Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre is anybody wants to look this up - it was partly about the actors being concerned that"modern" audiences didn't want their type of horror film any more (what would they think now if still around?) No doubt would have featured Bela Lugosi also had he still been alive. Anyway, Milner also starred in the original William Castle version of the film 13 Ghosts 1961? for those interested - very different from the supposed remake of recent years.

Sort of a bee theme on this forum lately.

I think it was msc that mentioned his ill health on the forum last year.

Had him on the shortlist for a while early on before the younger, more-likely-to-die names started piling up.

Be a shame if nobody picked him in tbe DDP. No obit yet but seems like the type of name to get the Guardian eventually.

Oh, there was an actor of that vintage whose family asked fans to stop writing to him as he was "too ill to read them" now, but I can't mind if it was Dillman?

Knew those shark bites were serious. :(

Before the Craig reboot, the only man to play Felix Leiter in the Bond series twice. And in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill, two of the best Bond films imo.

Hedison's a sub on my poker team, primarily due to @msc's long list of possibilities for 2019.

Hoping for a QO almost immediately.

Live and Let Die was the first Roger Moore, so that's factually inaccurate as well as bad taste! :D

Oh, once Swinsons off the news, sure.

Another quick fact: his daughter is Jodie Fosters missus.
