"Legends" as in plural!

C'mon, this is the best billing Ms Durham has had in living memory.

Remind me, how many solo albums did she post in Rolling Stone magazines best 500 of all time?

Oi! Judith Durham is Victorian of the Year for 2015. :-) And Georgy Girl - The Seekers Musical is opening in Melbourne in December so JD's been doing a fair bit of promotion for that recently; legend, certainly (especially in Australia). However, if we were talking "musical geniuses" I'll certainly concur regarding the Rolling Stone albums list and my own personal preferences. :-)

Judith Durham has a sublime voice, whereas Joni's shrill trilling is like fingers scraping down a blackboard to my ears.

I agree Judith Durham is the more talented
Ha! Only one talent counts here, and we all have it.

There it is! I'm here to throw Elaine 'Spanky' Mcfarland's name into this and make it a trio what with her superior singing voice and .... Wait wh-what's that? She's DEAD?

SC

Spanky's the only genuine original left alive according to Wiki and I got nowt from Googling her name + death, is she still cooling or could we add her to the Judith/Joni head to head?

So, Spanky is alive then?

For those wondering WTF we're on about, let's just say; UK obit chances very slim. Deathrace points = yes/ HPDP and or DDP = personally wouldn't risk it.

New musical about Judith's life debuts:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-04-05/music-helps-the-seekers-singer-judith-durham-understand-success/7302006

"Judith Durham, the lead singer of The Seekers, says it is a "miracle" that a musical about the group has made it to the stage in her lifetime.

The Seekers, who skyrocketed to stardom in the 1960s, were arguably Australia's first super group, but Durham has told the ABC she did not understand the significance of their success at the time.

"I didn't have enough of a perspective on what had happened, I knew we had a number one record literally all around the world and how exciting it was," she said.

A musical about the group: Georgy Girl, The Seekers Musical will be playing at the State Theatre later this year and Durham said the production had helped her reflect on the group's success.

"The true perspective that the Seekers were outselling The Beatles, outselling The Rolling Stones, our first three singles went to number one," she said.

[snip]

She said watching her life on stage was overwhelming in many ways.

"Sometimes I think 'oh surely, it wasn't that tragic', but everyone says 'Oh my God, what you've gone through'," Durham said.

"It's a funny one, I belittle all the things in my life, I've had a philosophy in life that carries me through those things.""

Re Durham she was once stalked by a former assistant who kept sending her doormats through the post.

Does a deluge of doormats occur in the stage show?

Can you imagine the phone calls "Hello, is this the Police? yes I've received another doormat from my stalker. oh what does it say? Please wipe your feet"

Judith Durham is releasing a new album this week to celebrate her 75th birthday. She looked and sounded amazingly well in an interview I just watched. She definitely seems to have recovered from her health issues and probably has years of life left in her. I'll post the interview later if it is put online.

^ Judith may have been "amazingly well" but she only had 4 years of life left in her. 24 (plus DL) were wrong, 7 were right.
