Magere Hein's Grand Tour of the Netherlands, which earlier took me to such grand places as Millingen aan de Rijn, Lonneker1 and De Weerribben-Wieden National Park2, stopped at Zeeland's capital Middelburg today. A nice old town, a bit too quiet to my taste, but one with a fabulous treasure: the Zeeland tapestries. These four hundred year old bits of textile depict several naval battles in which Spanish arses were kicked by the brave people of Zeeland.
