In the fame game, Henry Kelly would always be playing catch up...

A few years ago a saw a documentary on the Dutch box of a (non-celeb) Dutchman, who did exactly that. In his case it was eminently plannable, since he intended to be (and was) euthanised. I'm not so sure filming your last month works that well in more traditional deaths. How does one know when that last month will start? Anyway, that Dutch docu showed a awkward interview with an undertaker, with whom funeral arrangments were made. Awkward for the undertaker, that is. His soon-to-be-dead customer cheerfully (and successfully) haggled on grounds that the whole business could be planned in advance and no rush was involved. It's obvious undertakers are used to dealing with grieved relatives, rather than the star of the show. regards, Hein

Must be nice for some of Guardian's most loyal and regular commenters to sort of "move up the page" and get featured in an article for once.

That's because he's suffering from senile dementia in a nursing home. We'l l never see him again I'm afraid We will if someone leaves the door unlocked.

He probably could, but when I lived in London I'd often see celebs taking the bus or the tube. Among many that I'd see were Christopher Biggins, Mark Wing-Davey, Henry Kelly, Windsor Davis, Tom Baker, and Roger McGough I'm so sorry you had to be in the same vicinity as some of those people for however long or short a time it was. Windsor Davis, Tom Baker and Roger McGough were quite pleasant to talk to. Henry Kelly was a bit of an annoying twat. I think he expected more people to recognise him.
