Instead, I am wondering how exactly we will celebrate the 20th birthday of this thread in March. It is my belief that we should pull the absolutely most audacious rants and highlight them in a special thread to celebrate the occasion. We also should have a competition to determine which one of you cheeky lot is the best at wittily responding to the uncouth simpletons who grace this thread. The 20th anniversary thread will be similar to the "This is Your Life" show with that Michael Aspel fellow with a voting twist except about the irate visitors and our gloriously snarky regulars instead of one person. It would be an absolutely marvelous way to unify and lightheartedly look back on how the DeathList has stood strong, no matter what challenges this site has had to face in the past. Who is with me in wanting to make the 20th anniversary of the irate visitors thread a magical moment for the ages?
Who is ‘we’? Who are you? You don’t get to click on ‘create account’ and start saying ‘we’.SC

The rapper Fiu Snaccs died on January 7, 2024 in Raleigh, NC. His real name is Chaz Harris, 38, he was a local rapper in the Raleigh area.
In addition to rapping, Chaz also owned a box truck business. Chaz admitted in a ABC News interview he had a criminal past that stopped him from voting, but he was able to get his voting rights restored in 2020, voting for the first time.
Chaz leaves behind 5 children

Another obscure 1960s song that rose as high in the Billboard charts as Oh Well, but from a band with a far better name (The Willapuss Wallapuss), the pride of Hamilton, Ontario.

Saint Sulpitius the Pious, the bishop of Bourges, died 1380 years ago (age unknown). He is the patron saint of people with pains, gout and skin condition. We therefore pray to St Sulpitius on this, his Feast Day, to rid us of the @TQR rash that infests Deathlist. Amen.

If we flew all the immigrants who came here on small boats to Rwanda we would be bankrupt. Even if we used EasyJet.
The numbers that can be accommodated in the Rwanda scheme are hardly going to put off the majority who probably still fancy their chances.

I’m a Saints fan, no dog in the fight despite my residence. Rams covered the spread if you had bet £££, not that it comforts you too much.

Sir Creep declared this list mostly rubbish. So milquetoast is actually quite acceptable given the dregs below that adequate standard we are voting on.While I’m here…I’m not sure what land of make believe your country was in but Fleetwood Mac was a big fat nothing until the self-titled 10th album was released, after which thy promptly recruited Buckingham Nicks as the rest is pop/Rock n Roll Hall ofFame history. Why are we pretending the Peter Green version accomplished anything musically noteworthy. It didn’t.

Also, each state has weird alcohol laws. I could not buy wine on Sunday in Pennsylvania, but I could buy beer, so I wound up buying lambic to have with brunch.
There are still a handful of ‘dry counties’ in Texas and I believe a few other hillbilly southern states.
Most (?) states sell alcohol on Sunday but not before noon. When I was in New Mexico they did not sell alcohol on Sundays, that was 1987/88 so law may have changed.- 1

Detroit Lions 24-23 over the L.A.Rams
These people in Detroit losing their minds.
30 years since their last playoff victory (and the only one in SirC’s lifetime, and he’s 60. So this is #2 @Paul Bearer Fort William hasn’t a clue what actual futility is).Announcer on the telly said ‘if you’re a Lions fan you should text someone and let them know the Lions won…you couldn’t do that last time because texting hadn’t been invented yet.’

Wow - the quality of songs fell off a cliff. I can count the songs I would give points to on one hand, so long as that hand had 8 fingers; and of those, how many are really good songs— maybe the 4 fingers on the other hand. And one of those is being attacked by @Death Impends because apparently someone in his life dropped over dead and it’s hitting a little too close to home. Well, eliminate the Goldsboro song, I’m not going to wrestle with some sentimental fool.

I can understand why someone might not care for Black is Black, but it baffles me what someone could possibly have against Gimme Some Lovin’. I could see if your mother was murdered while playing a Hammond organ why you might be triggered, but that has to be a very small subset of humans, doesn’t it?

61 The Beach Boys — God Only Knows
56 The Rolling Stones — Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown
50 The Kinks — Waterloo Sunset
44 The Troggs — Wild Thing
37 The Spencer Davis Group — Gimme Some Lovin’
34 Los Bravos — Black Is Black
19 The Lovin' Spoonful — Daydream +4
15 Traffic — Hole In My Shoe
12 Donovan — Sunshine Superman -6
I fixed the title to the SDG track, which has been wrong the entire game. When they said Gimme Some Lovin’ they meant vote for The Lovin’ Spoonful, if that helps.

It’s 12 January, where the hell is the thread for Inverse 2024. Even if it’s not ready to go, the thread should have been made.
