Commtech Sio Bibble 2,083 Posted September 20 Thunderbirds are Gone 11/50 20th September 2024 English actor David Graham has died. Having appeared in minor TV roles since 1952, in 1960 Graham was one of five actors chosen for voicing characters in Gerry Anderson’s ‘Four Feather Falls’, marking the first collaboration between the pair. Throughout the 60s Graham worked with Anderson five times most notably on ‘Thunderbirds’ (and its two feature films), in which he voiced Gordon Tracy, Kyrano, Brains and most famously chauffeur Parker. In 2015 he returned for the show’s remake, to once again voice Parker. In 1963 Graham lent his voice to Doctor Who’s Daleks in their eponymous debut serial, he would voice them a further four times on TV and twice on the big screen. When the original Dalek story was colourised for the show’s 60th anniversary in 2023, Graham returned to provide updated voicework. In the early 90s he made regular appearances in BBC sitcom ‘So Haunt Me’ as Mr Bloom, the neighbour. In 2004 he began voicing Grandpa Pig in the children’s show ‘Peppa Pig’, a role he played until his retirement. Between 2009 & 2012 he narrated ‘Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom’ as well as voicing The Wise Old Elf. Graham officially retired in 2021 aged 95, but in December when he suffered a stroke he reportedly found returning to work was helping his recovery. David Graham died earlier today aged 99. He was making his third appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist, this year at no. 21

Commtech Sio Bibble 2,083 Posted October 10 Deathel Kennedy 12/50 10th October 2024 Human rights activist, policial widow and the head of a family dynasty, Ethel Kennedy has died. Ethel Skakel was the sixth child of businessman George Skakel, allowing her entry into high society from an early age. She studied at Manhattanville College, where she attained a bachelor’s degree, alongside Jean Kennedy, her future sister-in-law. She began dating Robert F. Kennedy in 1946, after he had finished with one of her elder sisters. The pair married in June 1950 and she spent much of the next two decades helping family members campaigning for endless political positions. In 1955, her mother and father were killed in a plane crash, a fate also suffered by her elder brother 11 years later. In 1968 she supported her husband’s campaign for the presidency and was by his side when he was fatally shot in June of that year. The pair had 11 children, with the youngest being born 6 months after Robert’s death. She outlived two of her sons. Following her husband’s assassination she started the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organisation, she was still an active campaigner into her late 80s. In recent years, she has been seen as a figurehead for the Kennedy family, as one of the last living members from the Camelot days. The Kennedies have recently been thrown back into the spotlight due to the aspirations of her son Robert Jr. Last week it was reported that she had suffered a stroke. Ethel Kennedy died today aged 96. She was making her first appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist, at No.33
Commtech Sio Bibble 2,083 Posted November 8 Pegged-It Woolley 13/50 8th November 2024 Archers legend June Spencer has died. Spencer began working in radio from the age of 18, and in 1950 when BBC’s The Archers began she was cast in the role of Peggy Archer (later Woolley) without an audition. She played the character for three years, before leaving to pursue a family life. In her absence the character of Peggy was temporarily recast, but Spender occasionally returned to the series to play a different character, Irish baker Rita Flyn. In 1962 Thelma Rogers, who was voicing Peggy, left and Spencer returned to the series to play Peggy, and would then stay for the next 60 years. Throughout her time on the radio drama Peggy dealt with storylines involving her husband’s Altzhimer’s, having a stroke and the horror of a female vicar. In June 2019 she turned 100. In 2022 Spencer decided to retire, aged 103, she was the last member of the original cast. For her services to drama she was awarded an OBE in 1991 and a CBE in 2017. June Spencer died today aged 105. She was making her third appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist, this year at no.13
